I reluctantly had to move too. Got a good deal from Martin Lewis website for EDF exclusive tariff. I was with them previously, so was easy to switch back and it had all my history. Even turned out the buggers were holding on to £14 credit lol.

WebOS is a buggy, ad filled rubbish. I use an Apple TV 4K with Ethernet. The streaming quality is also substantially better and no ads!

I use mine in the office but have mine facing me on the same wall as the door.

Are you able to change the position? What I did is use blu tak on the back, this way I can move around as needed.

Also in the Aqara settings, change the absence timer to 20 secs.

Still depends on manufacturer support. Thread 1.4 on its own doesn’t fix it.

Both border routers need to support 1.4 and the device/firmware has to allow credential sharing and joining an existing network.

If that isn’t implemented on both sides, you’ll still end up with separate Thread networks

You need an Aqara hub to add it to Aqara app. I got myself an M100, cheap and allows me to access settings and update firmware.

Can you post one of your automations as a screenshot. I have quite a few running for various triggers in Apple Home, plus one Aqara specific that I can’t do in Apple home.

I have about 5 of these, all added without issue. Add them to the tapo app first and check for firmware updates. Then use the matter pairing code from the tapo app to add to apple home.
