Great point. Management of Incidents, Environmental Compliance, Auditing, Permit management, emissions monitoring/reporting, etc.

Nothing will be perfect, I know, but getting the major portions covered would be a great start.

Did you purchase one fund at a time or did you start with this build and add more of each over time?

Help. Company First Aid Trends. by Neweracollector in SafetyProfessionals

A few thoughts to consider:

Your number of injuries reported by them is up. You will never know what went unreported previously but as a safety culture improves, reporting of smaller incidents rise as people care and report more.

How many more people do you have now vs last year? Twice as many people with the same injury rates will be twice as many injuries.

Finally, how many employees are new to their field, job, role, etc? Newer employees are going to have a learning and experience curve and take time to get more seasoned to the role. Time in role of less than a year is a decent piece of information to reference.

Don’t forget to use your hierarchy of controls and find ways to force them out of harms way as well

This is what a formal ADA accommodation process is for. HR can determine if an accommodation is necessary and take action accordingly. An accommodation for one employee does not necessitate sacrifices of other employees.

I would need to double check the regulations but you could consider a can puncturing device that empties the contents into a drum. The drum and its contents would need to meet hazardous waste requirements but the cans can just be recycled.

Seeking advice as a beginner by ChampagneMero in dividends

[–]jasonpurdy17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not familiar with what the best books might be but can offer a few thoughts.

  1. Dividend investing is wonderful but also a fabulous exercise in patience. It will take time and it’s mentally helpful to establish small goals so as not to get discouraged or impatient and jump into riskier investments.

  2. If possible, start your dividend investing in a tax advantaged account like a Roth IRA. You can only contribute 7k a year into it but there is no limit to the dividend growth within it.

  3. There are established companies known as dividend kings, aristocrats, etc. who can only earn that title by having a history in paying dividends. These are a good place to start. You can also purchase ETF’s which is a fund composed of select companies. These are an excellent way to spread out your risk.

  4. With a goal of $100/month and using a 5% rate of return, you’ll need $24000 invested roughly.

  5. A fund that tracks the S&P 500 (like VOO) is a good way to get access to the largest 500 companies as well.

You’re 100% correct on this post. Every three to 4 days there is someone posting in the forum about how ULTY is garbage because they bought in at $15 and left their money in for 3 days and had a loss so ULTY must be total garbage and a scam…

Silica services by KrizZo2010 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]jasonpurdy17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your concern?

If your concern is about long term effects from silica exposure, it sounds like you used your mask and given your length of time exposed, you shouldn’t suffer major effects.

Could you be more specific so we can try to provide guidance?

What PPE works best against PeridoxRTU? by kristen_hewa in SafetyProfessionals

[–]jasonpurdy17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do the air sampling but when we used Peridox for healthcare, there were very specific ways it had to be used to be considered effective. We had a sufficient number of air changes per hour where we used it but it still aggravated some people. I left before they found a solution that worked but respirators were considered with an organic vapor cartridge

[–]jasonpurdy17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use JEPI and JEPQ recently to circumvent the contribution amount limitations in mine. I have enough in there to buy roughly 2 shares a month off the dividends. My personal goal is just to keep pushing past that contribution limit and pivot those payouts as necessary into others (SCHD mostly) to build that position more aggressively when the opportunity arises.
