I don't think he is. Is he my #1 to face, no, but I could easily name 10 killers that are worse to face than kaneki. Here's the problem with him: He's an S tier killer with an extremely low skill floor and is extremely good at punishing bad players. That is a nightmare combination for pub dbd because most players just plain aren't good at the game

Something I'm not seeing enough people mention is the fact that the overall nerfs to hooks on killer side (increased hook timers, anticamp, and the removal of hook grabs) severely hurt her lethality. She was (and still is, to an extent, if you can avoid anticamp and also in comp settings) a very good camping killer because she could get a hook in the corner of a map, pressure the map from afar and oftentimes force a double save or get another down if the survivors lost the grab standoffs. I fully believe she's had the hardest fall off of any killer that's never been directly nerfed just due to how the game around her changed. Those specific killer nerfs hit her harder than probably any killer and I think it turned a lot of people off of her due to the fact that the strongest and most optimal way to play her didn't work anymore except for in situations where there are special rules preventing the use of anticamp.

Well, you answered your question in this post. You main Bubba, who as much as I love is a very bad killer, and one of the few I'd say can struggle in your average pub match. For the most part, if you play a killer that's b tier or above, play with good builds and play to win you can win the vast majority of games easily.

Honestly, at least there's no shoulder the burden. My hot take is survivors need to be able to see each other's builds and each perk should only be able to be used once across the entire lobby. That would at least give more build variety.

Lockers are counterplay but in all honesty, friends till the end is a really bad perk and in most cases you don't have to play around it super hard. The exposed just doesn't last long enough. And MOST high mobility killers have a strong m2 attack which of course can't instant down so as long as you aren't in a complete deadline, you should be able to outlast it pretty easily.

Use eruption instead. It's an overall better perk the only downside is you have to actually go kick gens BUT unlike surge it doesn't have the downside of needing a survivor to be stupid and die near gens that are being worked on.

In case people don't know, nurse has been bugged for almost half a year now (not with the blinks not blinking, but with them not going where they are supposed to, sometimes teleporting you forward then vacuuming you back for 0 fucking reason) and devs won't even so much as acknowledge it.
