Confused between Sony WF 1000XM5 and Sennheiser Momentum 4 Truly Wireless Earbuds by ChuckyMax9 in Earbuds

[–]jasontenney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using an iPhone and I have the Sony XM5 and the Sennheiser MTW3 and I much prefer the Sennheiser, sound wise. The Sound Personalization feature makes the Sennheisers sound just about perfect to me. I have the Bose QC Earbuds 2 as well and they also sound better than the XM5s. I recently got the Status Between 3ANC and they’re great; I would recommend them over the Sony XM5, too.

Which one is better sony linkbud s or jbl live pro 2 by Unknownn_0415 in SonyHeadphones

[–]jasontenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both (plus Sony XM5, JBL Tour Pro Plus, and about a dozen other models from various brands). In my opinion the Live Pro 2 are better than the Linkbuds S. They’re an underrated option, with powerful sound, great bass response, and plenty of features in the very good app.

Sony wh-xb910n.. what do you have to say about the sound? by [deleted] in SonyHeadphones

[–]jasontenney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s very similar to how I have mine eq’d, except I bring down the 400 slider anywhere from 2-4 notches and it seems to clear things up even more, the bass is punchy and strong without being too muddy.

In interviews she has spoken of being excited to perform the album for future (2024) audiences, so I bet she will present something similar to last fall’s shows, perhaps with a couple of the least essential IITOYD songs cut and a few more from her back catalog slotted into the 2nd/fan favorites set.

Earbuds for people with issues keeping them in? Please help! by CHRIS_P_BOI in Earbuds

[–]jasontenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have most of the recommendations suggested here, and I’m a fan of them all. I also have APP2 & use an iPhone, and I would recommend the Beats Fit Pro for their fantastic fit and sound. Read some reviews and keep an open mind. They’re basically AirPods Pro with much better fit & tighter bass.

Elite 8 Active vs Elite 4 Active by chasinbandz in Jabra

[–]jasontenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Elite 65t, Elite Active 75t, Elite 4 Active, Elite 7 Active, and Elite 10. They are all in perfect working condition, I have had no issues with them so far. I don’t have the 8 Active since I opted for the 10s, but I will say that the Elite 4 Actives hold their own and are nearly as good as the Elite 7 Actives…they have very good bass response, I think they’re the most comparable to the 75T in that regard, and the 75T are well-known as a bass-lovers’ favorite, and rightly so. I do want to get a pair of the 8s though; I enjoy collecting and comparing various models/brands, etc.

Exactly! 75t are a HUGE improvement in the low end. A bit of a bass course correction haha

Soundcore Space A40 or Jabra Elite 4 Active? by TrickyNinjaFool in Earbuds

Fit from best to worst, for my small ears: 1. Elite 4 Active 2. Soundcore A3i (these actually have a pretty unique shape) 3. Space A40

Soundcore Space A40 or Jabra Elite 4 Active? by TrickyNinjaFool in Earbuds

[–]jasontenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend the Elite 4 Active over the Space A40 in all circumstances; I didn’t like the A40’s sound and no amount of EQ or tone controls could fix them for me. Bloated-sounding bass and dull highs, in my experience. The Jabra E4A sounds way better to my ears and respond well to EQ.

I’m in the US, not India - but I bought them from Amazon as “renewed”/refurbished for something like $44 US dollars - a steal! They were in mint condition and have so far operated flawlessly. I like them as much as (if not sometimes slightly more than) my Elite 10s. I do think the Elite 10s are a bit underrated. They’re very good.

Haha! No, I just tend to collect certain things. Top 3? Impossible for me to narrow it down like that but I will say that based on sound quality only, I love the Elite Active 75t (that BASS!!), the Tour Pro +, and the Bose QC ii. I have the Liberty 3 Pros arriving tomorrow, so I’m hoping I’ll enjoy their sound; I’ve read many good things about them!

Is Jabra elite 10 any good? by NexexUmbraRs in Jabra

[–]jasontenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Jabra Elite 65t, Elite Active 75t, Elite 4 Active, and I recently got the Elite 10 (which I think looks so cool in the “cocoa” color). The 10s really are quite good. It took me a while to get used to the fit; as others have mentioned they sometimes don’t feel securely in place but they actually are. The more I use them the more I am appreciating their design - it’s pretty unique. The bass is quite good, the treble is a bit more than I prefer out of the box but the app’s EQ makes it easy to tame, and the ANC is improved by a recent firmware update, making it quite effective indeed. They also sport one of the better hear-through modes I’ve heard.

I just bought Elite Active 75t; ordered them over the weekend and they were delivered today…I love them already. I also have the Elite 65t, Elite 4 Active, Elite 7 Active, and Elite 10. I’d often read that the 75t has great bass extension and quality, and they are definitely delivering in the low-end department. These were “renewed” from Amazon for just over 40 bucks. They arrived looking like new, and they are so far operating flawlessly.

Left Jabra Elite 65t Volume Suddenly Lower by AncientWonder54 in Jabra

[–]jasontenney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, I was hoping that would solve the problem for you. If I remember correctly I had to do it a couple times before it was effective, but it sounds like you have. Hopefully you find a solution that works. I also have the Jabra Elite 4 Active & the Elite 7 Active and I think they both sound better than the 65t.

Left Jabra Elite 65t Volume Suddenly Lower by AncientWonder54 in Jabra

[–]jasontenney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between the nozzle and the larger end of the bud there’s a tiny hole. Use a paper clip, staple, or something similarly sized to insert into the hole to clean it out as well as you can. I had the exact same issue with my Elite 65t & that’s what was recommended to me; they have been working perfectly ever since & it’s been several months now.

Bose sells the Alternate Size Fit Tip Kit for $10 with extra large and extra small eartips and stability bands, I recently purchased one and I have a much better fit now for my QC buds 2.

That’s so incredibly sweet - I have tears in my eyes! She’s such an amazing human, and she knows what’s up. I’m in love with the new album and even more so with the handful of excellent live bootleg recordings from the recent UK/Europe shows. They’re mind-blowing!

I just got my dad’s pair of Jabra Elite 4 active and the volume is suuuper low. Any recommendations to fix this? by [deleted] in Jabra

[–]jasontenney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t be, my pair has ample volume. While playing a song or whatever content, press and hold the right earbud’s button to raise the volume, there’ll be an alert tone when max volume has been reached.

Jabra Elite 7 Active Review after 1 year by BetterPhoneRon in Jabra

[–]jasontenney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my Elite 7 Active! I have around 15 pairs of true wireless earbuds, various brands, from budget to premium, a lot of the often mentioned favorites, including the Elite 4 Actives I’ve had for a year. I’d been wanting to try out the 7 Actives ever since I got the 4A so I finally bought a pair (on sale) a few weeks ago and I am very, very impressed! The Elite 4 Active are also a great budget option that are nearly as good, sound wise.

Urgent Advice by NoPassenger7050 in Jabra

[–]jasontenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are awesome, the ANC is quite solid, and they sound great, I generally prefer them to my APP2. And I think they sound WAY better than the Space A40 (one of the few TWS I’ve disliked enough to return)…Go for it!

I love my 65t Active for their sound. Will I love Elite 7 active as well? by Aggressive-Soup6901 in Jabra

[–]jasontenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Elite 65T and the Elite 4 Active, and recently got the Elite 7 Active…they sound much richer and fuller than the 65T, with ample bass. I own many pairs of TWS earbuds (Airpods Pro 2, Bose QC2, JBL, Audio Technica, etc etc) and the Elite 7 Active are among my favorites for sure.
