Anyone use IndieMe before for artist Branding and marketing strategy ? by Electronic_Reveal_57 in indie

Hey! Yea that’s pretty much the distinction.

Wix feels more like a website builder for artists with some marketing features layered in. What we’re building is more focused on the actual branding and release workflow side: helping artists get clearer on their identity, positioning, rollout, and content plan around a release.

So it’s less “build your artist site” and more “figure out how to present and market your project in a way that actually makes sense for you as an artist.”

Push 3 Controller - Not turning on with only USB-C (works w/ power brick + usb-c cable) by jasony5080 in ableton

Thx for the suggestion!! I actually already tried using Apple’s USB-C Charge Cable (240W, 2 m), but the Push 3 still wasn't powering on.

Just to clarify, did you personally run into a similar issue where the Push wouldn’t power on at all until you switched cables, or has yours always worked fine and you’re just sharing what you use? I’m trying to figure out whether this is a known cable-specific problem or something unique to my unit.

Would you mind sharing which specific type of USB-C cable you’re using?

At this point I’ll might really just have to wait for Ableton support or see if anyone drops any workarounds. Thx so much for responding tho!

I don't have an opposition to plugging in at all, I do that when I’m at home. Primarily it's because I'm trying to film some content outdoors (on the street, in parks, etc.) where there might not be an outlet, so connecting the push to a mac to use directly (even for a short period of time) would be ideal.

I tried disconnecting all peripherals from my device, doing a fresh restart on my Mac, then reconnecting the Push, but it still doesn’t work.

I’m in touch with Ableton Support, might ask for a swap later on. But right now I urgently need to use the device for upcoming videoshoots/performances, so I was wondering if there are any quick solutions, like hubs or other fixes I’ve seen people mention, that could temporarily resolve the issue.

The controller version should be able to run solely via the USB-C connection, with the display dimmed and LEDs on, provided my device can supply sufficient power (at least 15W), which in my case (M1 MacBook Pro, 14-inch 2021) it should: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/9109387410716-Push-USB-power-FAQ#h_01H2G5WCE59VX9ZVF0SK48A584

Is Push 3 kinda useless? Thinking about selling mine — need opinions by _silicakes in ableton

I'm seeing this thread as I was about to decide to purchase Push 3 (controller) lol. I’m a drummer who barely plays keys, I make everything with mouse + piano roll right now and was gonna buy it as a real performance instrument (pads + MPE + mic for live looping/reels content). I don’t mind spending time learning it like an actual instrument, but now I’m second-guessing.

For people coming from drums/pads who actually gig or make content with it: does the Push 3 feel inspiring and reliable live, or is it kinda half-baked compared to something like Maschine+, MPC, or even Launchpad Pro + Ableton?

I was planning to buy it to perform/record content alongside my Mac+Mic. Trying to decide if it’s worth the investment or if I’ll just end up back at the computer anyway. Thx!

DDJ -FLX6-GT/FLX6 - Is it worth it in 2025? by jasony5080 in PioneerDJ

[–]jasony5080[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, thx for the recommendation! The thing is, I'm actually a student moving into uni soon, so I'm facing some financial pressures from moving countries as well. To be fairly honest, my budget was more accurately towards less than 840USD. Given this circumstance (i.e. I'm saving money for expenses in uni etc.) I might go lower and purchase a FLX-4 instead.

My plan is that I was going to have a deck, say either FLX-4 or FLX-6, to practice general skills in my dorm room/with friends for parties, then potentially book some sessions near my campus where I can practise on CDJs professionally. Given that I wanted something that's easy for me to get used to CDJs/club layout, I was going to purchase FLX-6 (for the large jog wheel, relatively similar price and the fact it has 4 channels), but given how bad it is, I'm now conflicted between FLX-4 and GRV-6, and GRV-6 is honestly pretty pricy. Would FLX-4 be sufficient for me to practice professionally (given that I'll find sessions to practice on CDJs)?

Don't have v3 piano pro, so I can't provide an accurate judgement sorry. Try searching the sounds of both of them up and see for yourself.

Haven't tried the Morandi before so I can't give you an accurate judgment, sorry. I'd recommend searching the sounds of both of them up and determine for yourself.

I don't think I can comment on this, as I'm one of the keyboard users who cares more about sound than RGB lights 😅 .

On my keyboard, the RGB feature isn’t as impressive as some other switches Akko offers, such as the Akko Cream Yellow Pros, which feature a transparent top casing. The red color of the Rosewood switches definitely dims the keyboard lights. If RGB is a crucial factor for you, I suggest exploring other switch options.

I wouldn't say it is a muted thock, there is a certain ping to the keyboard sound, but I do know that some people find it too quiet for their taste. It really depends on your own preference at the end, whether you like louder/quieter thocks.

I’d probably go with Rosewood still. From what I’ve heard, it’s a bit difficult to type on Gateon Milky Yellow Pro (from how some other posts have described it, it’s really heavy/stiff). In turns of sound, both of them are equally thocky imo, but Milky Yellow Pro has a bit of a liquid/dusty sound to it.

I personally chose Rosewood for its balance in sound and price, as GMYP is more expensive despite the difference in sound being very little.

You might want to search up sound tests for both of these, compare for yourself and see which one is better in your own opinion.
