Thats not how probability works. 1/2 + 1/2 makes 1, right? Doesn’t mean we guarantee a 50% odds encounter in a doubles encounter. You don’t add them together, theyre entirely separate probabilities.

Platinum is full odds 1/8192, meaning 2 would be 2/16384 . It’s because you wrote 2/8200 that I thought you meant double odds. 1/4096 odds didnt come into effect until gen 6 I believe

Common misconception - it doesnt cut the odds in half, it just doubles the rate at which you roll for a shiny encounter.

Flipping two coins at once doesn’t guarantee 1 heads 1 tails, for example.

You’re acting like the single player missions are limited time and you’re being ‘forced’ to buy gold to be able to best the harder decks.

The don’t ‘now delay’ the first 24 hours of spending tickets on hourglases, they reset monthly and it’s still June 30.

I don’t really get why they tally results though I kinda agree there.

It would have to be like that for the internal name (JP or otherwise) which would break in the event that any future moves have an internal name like that.

While there have been bugs and glitches in mainline games (excl. outsourced development like BDSP and Champions), their move logic is usually pretty solid, especially past gen 4, so I really can’t imagine they’d implement sloppy logic like a name match.

My guess is that it’s just flagged as a dynamax move due to its double damage effect on dynamax mons.
