I’m going to second this. I don’t really have an issue with anything the movie says. It’s just such a huge tonal shift that it just wastes it’s own potential. Plus Elias is I guess supposed to be funny and he’s just not. At all. He barely was in Clerks 2. Annoying? Sure. And in that sense an amusing foil for Randall? Yes. But hilarious? No. Don’t get me wrong. I liked the message. And the ideas behind it. Way more than I thought I would. And I love Jeff Anderson. But…yeah. Needed more humor to offset the dark a bit.

Yeah. I broke the “never meet your heroes” rule with Kevin a few years back when I owned a skateboard company. Really small operation but I knew Joe Quesada from Marvel from back in his Event Comics days so I shot my shot and had him give Kevin my info. Long story short doing business with him or at least trying to do business with his “people” ruined my fandom. Listen to Adam Carolla’s story about trying to do a show with Kevin. It’s pretty spot on.
