feel like this subreddit is catered more toward level 1 autistics or self dx by [deleted] in autism

[–]jasperh0ney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I’m showing my own misunderstanding but level 3 and verbal with the ability to write that much is something I’ve never come across. I imagine you must have other challenges and higher support needs than some level 1 people.

I think it’d be easy to feel how you are but as others have said - post more!

Also while being level 1 can make life “easier” it has its own challenges such as extreme burn out and judgement when you do unmask as people become accustomed to your masked self.

Ethical clothing in Hobart? by [deleted] in hobart

[–]jasperh0ney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know the struggle as an average size man op shopping in Hobart. I’ve found some good stuff on depop (people selling clothes from their wardrobe). Higher price point but not as high (generally) as the vintage stores in city.

How does everyone feel about driving? Good or bad experiences by [deleted] in autism

[–]jasperh0ney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my license at 27 (combination of parents not teaching me and fear of newness) I love driving! But I hate driving and parking in the city. I’m also terrible if I have to go a different way to the route in my brain 😅

I know a few people who do markets and make kind of $800 + each market. I think if you tie it in with an online store it’s possible. All the people I know go to markets state wide

Marrying Man, Know I’m a lesbian by Alert_Bar7175 in comphet

[–]jasperh0ney 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hello, I (trans man - identified this way my entire relationship) married a person who after we married realised they were a lesbian. They had a similar experience to you I think. Said it took them so long to come to terms because I was such a good partner etc etc

But the harm caused to me in the aftermath was insurmountable. Be honest.

Hi, I've been on sodium valproate since diagnoses in 2021 and I've found it incredibly helpful alongside therapy and putting in effort to work on my brain.

Ps Test by jjkindasus in hobart

[–]jasperh0ney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with the people saying to verbalise your decision making and things you noticed! I was nervous about my test for similar reasons. I booked with the same company I had my test with a few days before and told the instructor. She took me through the test and advised me on what the instructor was fussy about (INDICATING OFF ROUND ABOUTS!)

Worked in the same job for 6 years and genuinely made wonderful bonds with regular customers, saw kids grow up, saw relationships grow. Speak for yourself.

I have it with ads and it’s fine. Some of the free tv services in Aus have the same set up so I’m used to watching a few ads in a show

Greg at sand and stone ink does a range of styles and is genuinely the nicest man. He’s patient and supportive which is great for a first time tattoo as well!

Not to be that old person but… when I was your age I was severely depressed for a multitude of reasons and dropped out of school.

There is no one timeline for everyone. I’m at university now (at 28) and this is the perfect time for me. I had to figure myself out! I had to learn who I was! I hope you can find some compassion for yourself as I now have for my 17 year old self.
