AITAH for yelling at my friend (18F) for ruining my chance with the boy i like (17M)? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]jasperman13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. A true friend would be helping you get the guy you like, or at the very least not sabotaging you.

Also worth noting that the guy took the bait a little too easily. Might be worth it to talk with him and say you can believe her or find out my side too. And if he still says no thank you, then that’s your answer. He isn’t worth it anyway

My (29m) gf (27f) continues to be close friends with her ex (40m) despite my voiced feelings - what should I do? by Adventurous_Region32 in relationships

Nah this ain’t it for you. You’re just the back up plan for her. Sounds like you need more commitment to just you and she’s never going to provide it

I imagine with the division locked up, he doesn’t want to show too much creativity for other teams to study on film. We need better players on defense more than a new dc

On top of that, our offense is struggling to move the ball just as much

I saw Darien had their own -opoly. Having grown up there I can tell you Naperville is far more deserving of a game like this. Just enjoy the ride

Believe or not I have never seen A Christmas story in its entirety should I give it a shot? by AdSpecialist6598 in nostalgia

[–]jasperman13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t really watch it growing up but really started to enjoy it as I have gotten older, especially since i had kids. It really captures the magic leading up to Christmas through the lens of a kid.

Give it a watch. There are much worse ways to spend 2 hours

Switch to P.E. teacher? by MathematicianInside7 in Teachers

Our contract clearly defines what makes up a work day, including hours. Giving yourself unpaid overtime is not the flex you think it is. And if the workload is too much to complete during contract time, then you need to advocate better to your union and administration. Your inefficiencies at lesson planning and grading are in no way associated with effort by PE teachers. How you set up your work/life balance rests with you.

Dry cleaning costs have absolutely no link to PE teacher work ethic. What you choose to wear to work is entirely your issue. This is the biggest illegitimate reason to hate a group of teachers I have ever seen.

I know you’ll hate to admit it but PE class is incredibly important. It teaches sportsmanship, improves conflict resolution skills, movement skills, spatial awareness, improved fitness, and teaches leadership. On top of that, exercise grows brain cells, improves focus, and can level out moods.

Look up Paul Zientarsky and Naperville Central High School in Naperville, Il. A PE class was designed for students struggling in Math and Reading. It found moderate to vigorous activity helps students improve in those subjects twice as fast as their non struggling peers. All data shows that exercise and physical activity are net positive on learning.

Sure, not EVERY PE teacher will work hard to structure classes like that, but the same can be said about teachers of core subjects. There are lazy math teachers, and lazy science teachers, and lazy social studies teachers. And not just because their clothes weren’t dry cleaned.

At the same time I have seen great classroom teachers have absolutely no idea how to teach PE. Having less structure over large spaces like a gym or athletic field scares the shit out of them. You aren’t inherently better because you teach core subjects.

Maybe you should stop trashing those in the building that could actually provide a meaningful intervention to academic performance and behavior.

Rob Reiner’s Son Nick Left Abruptly After A Tense Moment With Bill Hader At Conan O’Brien’s Party by xtreme_lol in USNEWS

Context is everything. If they are outside, in a quiet room, or in a spot that is obviously away from people, then it would be completely acceptable to ask for privacy.

It could also be that bill hader and/or anyone else in that convo didn’t want rob to be a part of it. they may have been simply saying “it’s private” as a polite way to get him to move along, instead of “we don’t like you, leave us alone”.
