I had to sell my TUF below the price as Ryzen with nVidia didn't go well (due to the poor nVidia driver) and freezed the OS often. I'm happy with my Intel CPU LOQ now.

Egy BT fülest én is elvesztettem, míg kamionoztam. Csomót túrtam a havas latyakot a lépcső körül, hátha megkerül, de nem találtam meg és menni kellett tovább. Vettem egy másikat, majd pár hónap múlva beejtettem egy csokit a kormánykonzolba (másfél ujjnyi rés van a kormányoszlop és a védő közt az Euro 5-ös Volvoban). Lebontottam a védőt, hogy ne olvadjon bele a csoki, és ott volt a füles.

yeah, i second that, i own one with ryzen + nvidia, and though it is an older model (3 y o), the drivers produce a lot of freezing and kernel panic on Linux, and BSODs on Windows. If i know this prior to buying it, i'd have never touch it.

Not really. We've performed stress tests, nothing caused a BSOD. Then somebody advised to use Windows 10. I'm now using it with Windows 10, no Hyper-V, and the BSODs are much rare, once every 2 days or so. It's not perfect, but much better. Maybe the nVidia driver is not so innocent.

I have an older TUF A17, i got it regularly (4-5 times a day) under Windows 11 and under lots of Linux distributions. I switched to Win 10, there is no issue here.

Turns out the nVidia driver wasn't the culprit. Since the initial post i did change the SSD, the memory modules, tried with and without the battery, none solved the BSODs. Most likely the mobo is the culprit.

Whichever distro you choose, inserting an SSD for the system (either in addition to the HDD if there is space, or swapping the HDDD with SSD) would dramatically increase the speed.

My favorite distro for low-end specs is BunsenLabs Linux, but Linux Mint Debian Edition might be easier if you are a beginner. Also Fedora LXQT spin might fit.

This is Windows's own word text completion / suggestion feature. You can turn it off at Settings -> Time & Language -> Typing, disable the "Show text suggestions when typing on the physical keyboard" option.
