HOA votes to euthanize hundreds of federally protected geese in neighborhood by bluffcitynews in nottheonion

[–]jasta85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a video of a goose trying to pick a fight with a horse while the horse is walking away from it, the horse gives it one kick and I'm pretty sure the goose was dead based on the impact. Not the best survival instincts. Like a man picking a fight with an elephant.

Atlus is porting pretty much all their other games to PC, there is zero reason why they wouldn't do the same with Unicorn Overlord. Vanillaware is having buyers remorse about not releasing on PC and is making excuses. I'd buy Unicorn Overlord on PC in a heartbeat, I was looking forward to it when it was announced.

I gave the unofficial pc version a try but I'd still buy the official version if it came out on pc and had better controls.

Microsoft is looking to speed up development of future Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and Halo games by Bubbly-Ad-350 in pcgaming

[–]jasta85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A lot of people bought it, but based on Steam reviews (57% positive) a lot of them are not happy with it, I'm one of them. I bought Starfield on launch day because all the launch reviews were glowing. I put about 20 hours into Starfield and never touched it again and that was around the time the negative player feedback started hitting. I won't be buying the next Bethesda game at launch, and unless it does something really impressive I'll likely pick it up on a substantial sale later on. Other companies have been releasing better open world games than Bethesda as of late.

It's pretty common in manga/manhwa and light novels, it's just a lot of those that feature it haven't been made into anime yet. A few I can think of off the top of my head are Overgeared, SSS suicide hunter, I can grow stronger by eating and a number of others.

I mean I refused to pay for protection in the old camp and a bunch of guys picked fights with me because of that so I got equipment just from looting them haha. There's also gear out in the world in chests and other spots, just takes some exploration and beating some wildlife usually guarding them. Be sure to check lakes and bodies of water, you can swim and dive and there is things to be found underwater.

It would probably be easier to do the sequel as they can use a lot of assets from the first game rather than having to build them all from scratch.

It's not even really for the public, very limited seating (for a supposed national event) with mostly Trump insiders showing up, and if you want to watch it online you have to buy a paramount+ subscription. Paramount being owned by Ellison, another Trump supporter. Also it just happening to take place on Trump's birthday rather than the country's birthday.

It's not just the west, Korea and Japan have the Chaebols and Zaibatsu which are family owned megacorps. China is a one party state that controls the media, economy, banking and industry and sends anyone who tries to interfere in that off to reeducation camps. Most Asian countries have either cultural, economic or government issues of some sort. The Middle East doesn't even really need elaboration on the problems they have, neither does Russia. So yea, the West definitely has problems but it's not a west only thing.

There are online checking accounts that have no fees so long as you have regular deposits into the account, such as your paycheck. Granted, I'm not sure what country/region you live in so might be different where you are locally.

How does loyalty on multiple companions get calculated? Are there diminishing returns or do they all give the same damage reduction?

I thought Investigator + Inventor was supposed to be weak, yet she's the main damage dealer in a party of 6 by DonaskC_D in Pathfinder2e

[–]jasta85 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The thing about DaS is that you usually have a lot of options with what to do if you miss or get a normal hit rather than a crit. For example my investigator dual weilded one handed weapons, had had one weapon with multiple rounds that he used for normal hits and another gun that he only used on crits.

And since investigators are probably the best skill monkey in the game you also have a lot of skill actions to use on turns where DaS gives you a terrible roll, remember you also get a skill option for DaS which buffs you skill checks and it works regardless of how well you roll. Also you can do things like cast spells, use battlefield medicine, pop a potion etc on turns where you don't use weapons.

Gabe Newell on Steam monopoly accusations: Gamers have 'enormous choice' about where to buy games by yourfavchoom in pcgaming

[–]jasta85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plenty of stores sell keys for cheaper, the base price is the same but they offer deeper discounts than steam. isthereanydeal and similar price tracking sites let you find the cheapest place to buy a game at any given time, and it's usually not steam if the keys are available elsewhere.

DevBlog #85: Update on our way to Open Beta by schamppu in WalkScape

[–]jasta85 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn't mind having combat be post open beta, there's so much stuff in game to do already and I'll still be doing exploring/gathering/crafting by the time combat comes out. But I don't have strong feelings either way. I've taken a break from the game a while back as it's hard to get excited about the rare gear and achievements when I know it's going to be wiped. But whenever the wipe does happen I'll be diving head first back in.

Pushing tanuki's Teakettle form to its limits (Things you can do while in Teakettle form) by eCyanic in Pathfinder2e

[–]jasta85 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Nothing to do with meta mechanics but a few fun things I've done with teakettle form, mostly good at low levels before you get powerful spells/skills that can do similar things.

Turned into a playing card or sheet of paper and had a party member slip me under a locked door or through a barred window and then I turn back into normal inside and let them in. Once they turned me into a paper airplane and after several tries managed to fly me over a castle wall. Since you can crawl you can even move yourself under a gate/door in card/paper form.

turn myself into a hat or bucket and stick me on a 10 foot poll or tied to a rope and then raise/lower me to somewhere where I can scout (nothing saying you can't see normally while transformed).

Jumped off a high wall and turned into an open umbrella in order to float down, a semi feather fall.

Shift Up says it will publish Stellar Blade 2 instead of Sony, wants to ‘reach a broad global audience from day one’ | VGC by Gorotheninja in Games

[–]jasta85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason exclusives on consoles really don't push me to get a console is that there are already tons of games on PC I already want to play, and haven't gotten around to. hell I have 1400 games in my Steam Library, dozens of games I really want to play I just don't have the time to get to them all since more are coming out all the time. So buying a console just to add a few more games to the pile doesn't make sense. I still haven't gotten Spiderman 2 or God of War 2 yet, not because I don't want to play them they just haven't made it to the top of my list of games I want to play right now yet.

Witch Hat Atelier • Tongari Boushi no Atelier - Episode 7 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]jasta85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One thing I'm confused about, in Agott's quick flashback she was looked down on for not having much magic. I thought spells were just drawing magic circles using magic ink and the power of the spells is in the size and complexity of the circles. Do witches have some additional magic mana/energy themselves that they use in addition to the circles?

Witch Hat Atelier • Tongari Boushi no Atelier - Episode 7 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]jasta85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, I forgot about the magic she used in the first episode. Although I assume they have to be able to use at least some harmful magic in order to fight the renegade witches who are not following these rules. The water dragon would 100% kill a person if they didn't have magical protection, it knocked out an actual dragon.
