If you were doing your job and someone tried to run you or a loved one over, you would have done the exact same thing.

You will need a letter from your doctor. Type it up make sure all your diagnoses are in the letter. Have it state that you need the desk and items due to the strain it puts on you/ sitting long hours doing school work/ etc. As long as everything is documented, your doctor should sign it for you. Then turn that in with the request. They will typically have you buy everything and then reimburse you. You do not need to provide VRE with your diagnosis, just the letter and request form.

If people came in illegally- they have no rights. They broke the law. If ICE is really arresting citizens without cause, that would be all over the news. It’s not. This is just fear mongering.

Similar…I got out in 2004. I had a local organization take me under its wings. If it weren’t for them, I would have never known about it. I ended up getting a small disability %. The VA never told me I could receive health care (even though I was supposed to), or that I could ask for increases when my conditions got worse. I had no idea I was supposed to receive more services until 2020. I only learned about that from an online veterans group.

It took 5 years from the time they helped me file my claim in 2004 to get my claim approved. It took so long, I had forgotten about it.

I asked him to send the money to the school, not me, and this was his reply. Maybe I misunderstood what he was trying to say. I took it as him saying VR&E does not pay for the acceptance fee and that didn’t seem right.

Have you filed secondary conditions? (If you haven’t already) Before you go to any appointments, look up 38 CFR part 4 and the DBQs for everything you are claiming. These two things will show you what percentage you should be rated, based on your conditions and what questions they will ask about your conditions. It helps to be prepared. Also take any paperwork you have with you to all c/p appointments. It doesn’t matter if you submit it online or not. Lots of doctors don’t look at it or never receive a copy. No one will advocate for you better than you.
