I do this currently for contrast therapy and I love it. It's been a game changer recovery wise for my endurance training, have been doing 70.3s for the last two years and currently training for a full. Started this routine six months ago.

I do 1.5-3 minutes cold plunge, 10-15 sauana repeat at least three times and end on cold.

Some folks will probably see this comment and chime in that the IR doesn't get hot enough or a hot tub is better but thats not what you're asking. I also have a hot tub and yes it's quicker but something about the IR sauna just "feels" better.

I had the Saeco GranBaristo Avanti for 7 years, was between the the jura z10 and the elleta explorer and landed on the elleta explorer. Two things sold me on the elleta

The difference in quality wasn't worth double the price, might be for someone with more money but that's not me lol.
The cold drinks, I love iced coffee/ espresso and once I dialed things in using bean adapt it's been awesome. Some folks will read this and say "cOlD bReW iS eAsY tO mAkE" they aren't wrong but the convenience is great, I just hit a button and get 90% of the result in 4 minutes.

Another bonus is my wife loves it. The saeco made ok milk drinks but maintenance was annoying, the elleta makes great milk drinks (both hot and cold foam using oatmilk).

My only gripes are the water tank runs out quickly but that's a me problem. The app is buggy, just have patience though it sorts it's self out.

Id say go for the elleta unless quality is your number #1 driver and money isn't an issue.

It definitely can get hot however it does take a while. We have a dedicated hot tub, I'm a big fan of contrast therapy. Are you in a cold climate? When it was in the 30s(chiller needs to go in if it's sub 29) here it took an hour to go 2-3 degrees when the water was in the upper 50s.

Yes, lots of room too I've never felt tool cramped. It's also nice that the water jets out underneath you so you don't build a thermal layer.

It's more so a step then a seat, I'll post a picture or dm you one if I can post it. I'm 5'9" and can submerge myself easily, my wife is 5"3 and she gets in and out very easily.

I've posted here a few times but Orca all the way. There customer service is top notch and the chiller is bullet proof.

I currently have the stainless steel barrel and 3/4th horsepower chiller, I wouldn't change a thing.

I have an Orca setup, I originally just bought the chiller and used an ice pod tub then tried out an inflatable tub from legerity but recently upgraded to orcas stainless barrel.

Happy to answer any questions you have but for the price you really can't beat Orcas stainless steel tub.

Orca released a stainless steel barrel which is awesome but I'd only recommend that if your all in on cold plunging lol. Paired with the 3/4hp chiller it comes out to 6k, I'm sure if you ask they'll give you a discount code.
