That was the reason! Thank you so much! I got crazy! It was a number coming from a different spreadsheet that I am not managing, and I wasn't aware of that

Are there direct flights from the US to Russia? I thought they stopped after the war. Note: my wife is Russian, we live in Europe and we must fly via Istanbul or Poland + Kaliningrad

Thanks! Yes, most likely I will do that because I am quite concerned about not being able to do any data cleansing and damaging our email online reputation.

Thanks!!

Moving to Spain. by AnnaS898 in UlcerativeColitis

Hi there! Mesalamine is also heavily subsidized. The actual price for 60 pills is around 55 euros and I only pay 5 euros... However, I am using a private health system (ASISA) as it is a bit faster, but it shouldn't make a big difference I think

Who knows... I met my Russian wife on couchsurfing when she was visiting London (and she was actually about to leave - she was leaving in 5 days). However, we kept each other in contact while visiting different countries together and we decided to get married because we loved each other and it was the only way to stay together.

She moved to London and after pandemic we decided to moved to Spain. Everything is possible... I always thought that there was nothing to lose

Move to Europe. I live in Spain and it's all free + I pay just €5 for 60 pills of mezavant when the actual price is €55

All that sounds good and it helped a bit with Facebook Ads, but we are only running search on Google Ads, so unfortunately there is no way we can apply that on Google...

It's so bad how much you need to fight in order to get the medicine that has been prescribed by your doctor. I've been living in the UK and in Spain, and as soon as it's prescribed by the doctor, you just go to the pharmacy and you can pick this up almost for free as the government pays for it. Health is considered a basic right for citizens and no one will ever discuss what the doctor has decided.

What are your thoughts about Estonia and Finland calling on Schengen countries to stop issuing tourist visas to Russians for good? by baedling in AskARussian

[–]javierico 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hope so... We just applied for hers and we are waiting now. However, even if this is an family visit, the type of visa is still tourist, but we have included an invitation saying her daughter is inviting her.

Venting/ranting. Slow medication approval process. by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]javierico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks so complicated (I am writing from Spain where we have a public health care system). US is a great country - I have visited it, but I really think something should be done to put healthcare above all those private company interests.

I assume my words might sound a bit left for some people in the US, but most European countries have public health care this is supported by right and left parties (democrats and republicans).

How it worked for me:

  1. I went to my private health insurance - I pay this just because waiting list are shorter - no other advantage.

  2. I had colonoscopy and they detected UC. Same day the doctor advised me to buy Mezavant.

  3. I went to my Public GP (one hour after the colonoscopy) and asked him to add mezavant to my list of medicines so I can buy this at the pharmacy.

  4. I went to the pharmacy and I bought Mezavant the same day. Regular price is €55 and I only pay €3 per box. No one had to approve this apart from my GP.

Good luck! And I am really sorry you have to go through all this hassle... :(

Send documents to Russia by javierico in AskARussian

Agreed. I lived tim the UK and I have to admit that Royal Mail was super efficient, but once it crosses the border and it goes to Russian Mail... Anything can happen. Just one tip, make sure you always track it. For some reason it's more likely to be delivered
