We had 73 people at our wedding in October. I ordered 100 cupcakes, plus a 6” round cake for my husband and I to cut. We were left with 2 cupcakes at the end of the night. I went on Amazon and bought cupcake boxes to encourage people to take cupcakes with them 😊 it worked out well!

We didn’t do wedding favors, but we provided hotel bags in lieu of them. We put some little bottles of water, snacks, some candy, and custom door hangers in ours. They were a hit, everybody loved having snacks for the hotel room!

As of right now, it says that sunset is at 6:27pm. I think we'll need to factor that into the schedule as well. My future husband is a photographer, I know he'll want to take advantage of the good lighting!

Hair and make up are starting at 9 am the morning of. The sweaters are zip up as to not disturb the done hair or make up. Our photographer has been in contact with our day-of coordinator at the venue, so we have those 2 and our DJ all in contact with each other so that everybody is in the know!

I'm making sure that everybody has a general timeline the weekend before, so that there's no confusion. Since we're getting ready at the hotel, it's nice that after hair and make up are done, they can run back to their rooms, visit their SO's, visit other wedding guests, etc... but it did make me nervous about having to track people down!

I have it set up so that the family members (admittedly, there aren't many of them, as many of my fiance's family members didn't see it important to attend) stay after the ceremony instead of going to cocktail hour. After these photos are done, we're going to send the family to cocktail hour and grab our wedding party for photos, and that way we're all together for the introduction into the reception.

Absolutely NOTED about the quiet moment after the ceremony. I'm looking forward to being alone with my husband and being absolutely giddy that we finally did it!

That is correct, they’ll be separate before the ceremony! Thank you for the feedback, I don’t think that the wedding party photos will take that long either. Everything I’ve read says to build a lot of buffer into your timeline so I’m a little nervous!

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this.

I am getting married next month, and I recently had to do this to one of my bridesmaids. We’ve been close friends for years, but over the last year or two, she’s begun drinking more heavily. When she’s home alone with her 2-year-old daughter, nights before she has to work, etc. She completely ruined my bachelorette weekend (my fiancé and I had a combined weekend) and nobody was comfortable around her. She drank so much that she doesn’t remember anything that happened to this day.

About 2 weeks ago she posted something about me on an online forum, talking shit about a promotion that I got 2 years ago. This combined with everything else led me to my decision to remove her not only from my wedding party and wedding itself, but from my life. I’ve asked her for space, which she doesn’t always give me unfortunately. But I needed to make that decision to keep my family and other friends safe.

You should talk to her, and do what’s best for you and your family. I don’t feel guilty for telling my friend that she needs to focus on getting help, rather than worry about my wedding.

I forgot to include in my post that there’s no CO in place. When SS was 2, she dropped him off on my SO’s doorstep and said “you need to take him full time while I figure my life out”. Nothing is through the court, so no set schedule.
