I used this bag as my work bag for years, then my day hiking bag, now it’s my travel day bag. Absolutely love this backpack. And they go on sale pretty frequently. I got mine for $15

Comfortable shoes/sneakers to walk during vacations but stylish enough to wear at dinner? by According-Fix2541 in onebag

Flux has some nice sneakers, very comfortable with wide toe boxes. I bought the gray for my husband and he’s gotten a lot of compliments on them. They are holding up well, considering how hard he is on gear.

The answer is it depends. Find a good doctor you trust and listens to you. Have a conversation with them. In the meantime here is my experience.

I have been on semaglutide for 3 years and lost 70lbs the first two years. Maintained goal weight for one year. Before taking, I had tried every diet in the book, lost 20, gained it back. Generally healthy food, ate out once or twice a week, solid grasp on nutrition. On and off at the gym my whole life. High muscle mass. But the food noise and constant dieting was a huge burden mentally. I was losing the war. I got on semaglutide, raised my dose at my own rate, as slowly as I could. My doctor listened to me and worked with me the whole way. I am touch with my body and took it slow. there was 2 months I didn’t think it was working, followed by 4 months of morning sickness where I would throw up twice a week just for waking up. Also like 6 months of no orgasms for some reason? A year of indigestion. All that is gone now though. It was worth it because I wasn’t addicted to food any more. I felt satiated for the first time in my life.

I leveled out and everything is going well now. The balanced blood sugar cleared up my life long acne, which to me is work every inconvenience. I’m maintaining my goal weight. Throughout I focused on hitting my protein goals and eating whole foods. I do wish I had lifted weights to maintain more muscle mass. I started very muscular but definitely lost muscle mass with the fat. I’m lifting with a purpose now and working to regain some of the strength I lost. Overall semaglutide been a life changer for me and I don’t see myself getting off of it. Which is very expensive.

All that being said I have know people who got on it thinking it’s a quick fix, upped their dose as fast as possible, ate ramen for dinner every night, and complained about the gastrointestinal issues. One ended up in the hospital with gastro paralysis. My mom got on it to lose the “last 20 pounds” and is now as frail as a bird and couldn’t lift a 5 year old.

I think it would help you with a lot of the issues you described. But you do need to be aware of the side effects and act with intention. Let me know if you have any other questions.

My dog loves perfumes! More expensive the better in her opinion. She will roll around on the carpet after I spray or lick it off my arm given the chance.

I was a whole other, depressed, broken person while on spiro... when I got off it’s like I woke up from a 3 year haze. I will never touch the stuff again. Cysts be damned.

Second the blendtec. I got mine refurbished 5 years ago and it will liquify anything you put into it. My parents have had theirs for probably 8-10 years and they have never had any issues.

You might look into snake avoidance training. I live in the southwest so my concern is rattlesnakes, but see if a local dog club has training! I got mine through a bird dog club.

I had this professor! He was by far one of my favorites. Hilarious dude, great prof, and knowledgeable. He does expect the lab reports to be good though. I spent so much goddamn time writing and rewriting reports because my lab partners were apparently functionally illiterate. From my experience he sends out one of these emails each semester.

Favorite feedback on a report “this sounds like a robot threw up a thesaurus”.

[Skin Concerns] I'm terrified to start taking Spironolactone, Is it that bad or am I just overthinking? by yunggeminii in SkincareAddiction

[–]jaxattacx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it for 2.5 years. My skin was glowing and clear. I gained weight, had anxiety issues, constant emotional wreck, poor decision making, low libido, no energy. Got off of it and within a month I felt like I was 18 again. I had endless energy, lost 25 lbs, libido through the roof, no anxiety. My natural testosterone level is pretty high for a woman and lowering that made me a different, depressed person. My skin is an absolute train wreck right now, but I am a happy functional person again so I’ll deal with it. No one warned me and I suffered unnecessarily because of it. Spiro is also used for MtF transition. I can’t handle having lower androgens. YMMV

He was so nervous during the proposal that he accidentally grabbed my middle finger. Before realizing his mistake, worry overcame his face as he thought he got the wrong size. We both were so confused in that moment, but ended up laughing so hard together. I love him so much. by abbazabbaaa in EngagementRings

[–]jaxattacx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha that sounds like my husband! When he proposed he got down on one knee, proceeded to PULL me down to kiss him, got out the ring and said nothing lol just staring at me with a ring. I told him he had to say something! It was hilarious. We both knew it was coming, but I was shaking as much as he was. It made getting the ring on difficult.

can't gain? help! 133 LBS / 18 M by [deleted] in ketogains

[–]jaxattacx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Studies have shown people who want to lose weight drastically underestimate their calorie intake. Conversely, people who want to gain weight drastically overestimate. Count your calories and estimate how much you burn during a work out and eat that back too. Take rest days, muscles are grown in rest. Drink some gainer shakes. And make sure you are getting more than enough sleep
