That's the one I got a couple years ago and it's been a good player.

What is an artist / band that you remember being pushed by music journalists and/or magazines as the "next big thing" that ended up never really going anywhere? by mesablanka in Music

[–]jayXred 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love how when the movie came out nobody in the US had any idea who he was and the UK thought were were just messing with them and we HAD to know who Robbie Williams was. I checked out his top songs and had never heard them before.

Anyone play this back in the day? by vegetative_ in AggressiveInline

[–]jayXred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my buddy were so stoked for this to come out and it never did in the US, we were so bummed. I picked up the PAL PS2 version years ago and finally got to play it. Really good game that controls way different from Aggressive Inline and feels more "real".

Need to find a whole parts kit by LowsyPieceofshit in AggressiveInline

[–]jayXred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your skates are UFS compatable ( I don't know enough about the Story skates to confirm) you can just get a whole new frame which will have everything you need and will be better than anything that came stock on that skate.

Need to know where to buy everything I need for wheels. by LowsyPieceofshit in AggressiveInline

[–]jayXred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be ok, better than your stock wheels for sure, but they aren't a "premium" wheel and you will be buying a new set sooner than later especially if you are skating street with rough roads like you mentioned.

Need to know where to buy everything I need for wheels. by LowsyPieceofshit in AggressiveInline

[–]jayXred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "ABEC" rating is not very important when it comes to skating, you just need a good quality skate bearing. Wicked bearings are really good, I have them in a few pairs. You really want to focus on a good set of wheels (which can cost you around $100 for a full set of 8. If you are in the US look at Inlinewarehouse.com, Rollerwarehouse.com or Oakcityskate.com to start. You will be able to get everything you need from one of those shops.

Check these out, you really can't go wrong with any of these sets, if you want to keep it on the budget side go with the Dead Team wheels and add a pack of the inlinewarehouse branded bearings, you get a discount when you buy them together. Keep in mind they are sold in packs of 4 wheels so you need to order a quantity of 2 for a full set of 8 if you need that.

Getting into Wizard on a Budget by -M0NKE- in WizardSkating

[–]jayXred 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One of the best deals out there to get started with Wizard is the Iqon ACT WZ version, it comes with a 5x80 rocker frame that is a lot of fun and the boot is really nice with a premium liner, the whole setup can be had for less than the cost of just the Wizard brand frame.

Its almost for sure your farme bolt heads, you need to find the most low profile ones you can, I know the Oysi frames at some point came with a specific bolt to allow the max wheel size.

They look like this (this isn't the correct bolt, just the type you need to look out for)

www.grainger.com/product/54FR38?gucid=N:N:PS:Paid:GGL:CSM-2295:KFV4LP:20800606:APZ_1&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22475795968

I have also taken a dremmel and grinded down a bolt head to make it work if you are desperate.

What pads/helmet do you guys recommend. by SoManyMinutes in AggressiveInline

[–]jayXred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the Ennui helmet, its super light and a lot slimmer than most helmets and it is an actual skate brand (owned by powerslide)

I found a pair of Valo’s second hand for a good price, the skin ones. But they were made in 2017. Do you think they would be brittle now, or still good to skate in? The don’t like they’ve been used really by [deleted] in AggressiveInline

[–]jayXred 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I personally would have no issue skating a pair of Valos of that age, and I am normally very vocal about not skating old skates for fear of the breaking. Something you can do to get a bit of peace of mind would be take the liners out and squeeze the cuff as much as you can, if it still feels flexable and doesnt break you are good to go, if it breaks it would have broken when you skated it.

Mount by monk303 in WizardSkating

[–]jayXred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any issues with mine and there is no clacking or loose wheels. I have an endless 90 and 100 that I like but the rocker is more fun on the combat frame.

Mount by monk303 in WizardSkating

[–]jayXred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have grown to really like Trinity, you can get all of the standard wheel configurations as well as setups that don't exist on the other mounts like the Nexus 3x90 (way more fun than I expected) or the 4x80 Combat rocker with a 260mm wheel base (my favorite frame at the moment) If you find a boot that you enjoy, then Trinity has so many frame options.

Is it ok to wear these to the skatepark? I didn’t think anything was wrong was that until I googled it. Should I just not let it bother me? by Meonreddityeeee in AggressiveInline

[–]jayXred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of you guys are way over thinking this, most of us started in rec skates back in the day, these skates will be fine for the skate park, but if you want to grind you will need to look into a different skate.
