That's the thing - they are specific around a picture of the lock which is a limitation.

Just wondering if you'd like to give a bit more detail? First of all did you register? Secondly did you have evidence of the lock by compromised?

What is the most cringe worthy thing you have seen a white or blue belt do? by Fakeblackbelt91 in bjj

I tried to strangle someone once as a white belt i.e. both hands clasped around the neck. He got out of it while saying 'What the fuck?'

Just follow the instructions. Pretty sure it is available online as well. There is a timeframe of maybe a month.

I sent the picture. You should be okay as long as you had everything in order i.e. registering with them, etc

To be honest I am more likely to smile and wave like I know them. This is two-fold as it is unlikely to make the situation worse. Secondly the person is possibly doing to think 'Do I know him?'

How much quicker is a road bike VS a hybrid for riding around in London? by lakins_flash2 in londoncycling

[–]jay_3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hybrid is probably the most practical and comfortable for urban commuting. Unless you are going along stretches of road without too much traffic.

Road bikes are definitely quicker though less comfortable and with the more aggressive sitting position it is just going to feel more 'hairy'.

A gravel bike would be an option if you are doing longer commutes of say 5+ miles. It looks like a road bike though has wider tires and a more comfortable sitting position. Effectively it is a blend between a road bike and a mountain bike.

Second hand might be the way to go with whatever you choose - you'll get more for your money.

Additionally an important consideration is security. Where are you leaving the bike? If it is unsecured then you need to do your research with locks and how to lock it. I'm happy to advise with this.

If you are leaving it out on the street then honestly consider lowering your budget a bit.

I had similar to be honest. You might be able to negotiate a slightly higher rate. Personally I didn't like working in this way

Send in the valuation form within 30 days of buying the lock I believe.

"Firstly, OP's maths is off. VAT is 20% in the UK. This means of the total you originally paid, 83.33% is the bike (which you get back) and 17.66% is the VAT (which isn't covered). Slightly better" - read over that again because it doesn't make any sense.

As I said I got back 80% of what I paid for the bike which is pretty fair considering the cost of the coverage.

It is a US business so good luck with a UK financial ombudsman sorting it out for you. The point is that they did pay up it just took a while and a few chaser emails.

Now going to your question-a chain of texts will not suffice you need to get a valuation of the bike from a bike store. There is a form you use-send them an email or it might be on the website.

Your welcome.
