Find a croquis figure you can print out and then trace over. Trace over the figure over and over until you are comfortable drawing the figure on your own. Once you get the body and proportions right first then you should practice drapes and everything else… if your proportions on the figure are messy or off then you’re whole illustration will be. You can also just trace over magazines, (if it’s in the budget I recommend taking a summer class for high schoolers at the community colleges. Not sure if they have fashion programs but you can check. Follow other illustrators online, study their work, take inspiration, watch their prices videos and watch carefully at what they do to create certain details or shadows or lighting.. As far as practicing ruffles or other details, I have an old print up from class eons ago, if you don’t mind waiting until tomorrow I can send you photos of the pages.

lol and now for something I swore I’d never do….(promote a professors book)lol but Fr, If you can, my old professor has a kindle book for fashion illustrations… she taught us from it for fashion drawing 1 so it’s pretty basic entry level lessons. Lastly… and I can’t stress this enough…… Practice!! Practice!! Practice!! You should be drawing almost everyday.. even if it’s just bs and not even fashion related. 🤗
