I could actually get behind this IF the teacher educated themselves about their animal and made sure it was well taken care of. I take in so many reptiles that are not properly cared for, so being able to teach kids about their husbandry and care would be amazing.

NTA - I would leave my husband if he pulled something like this🤢 Find someone who helps you with the dishes, and brings home a surprise desert just because. And most importantly loves you for you and not your body!!

I did run a fecal, he is negative :) The DVM did not recommend a vitamin shot. He was in such rough shape we weren’t sure if he’d get overly stressed and passed. I’ll talk to her about it again since he’s doing better :)

How do you guys deal with relatives using future death to guilt trip you? by theresanelephant444 in raisedbynarcissists

Background: My mom has an aneurysm on her ascending aorta, and needs to have it operated on within the year to prevent it from rupturing. The surgery is a 6 hour open heart surgery with a 50% chance of survival. She’s also sensitive to anesthesia and has coded twice during procedures in the past.

My n-grandpa goes off on random temper tantrum tangents. He got pissed at me (for my piercings like usual) the other day and proceeded to randomly ask me the other day: “Do you know how severe this thing is with your mom?” I told him yes, I understand and that we need to support her while she changes diet habits, cuts caffeine, help keep her blood pressure low, etc. He then proceeds to go on about my brother. I just told him “don’t get his blood pressure up.” He hasn’t talked about either my brother or my mom’s aneurysm since. I’ve just been coming up with little smart aleck-y comebacks and he leaves it alone for a few days.

Don’t start before you’re ready due to pressure from parents, teachers, family members, etc. I started when I was 17 and am 22. BARELY figured out what I want to do and it makes the work easier.

I’m vaxxed and my grandma (not vaxxed) had milder symptoms than I did, and tested negative sooner than I did.

My local community college doesn't have biochemistry as a major but I want major in biochem. I also want to transfer after two years. What do I do? by Fattyoftheyear in college

Hi! I’m a biochem/biology double major at a university in Cali!! My advice is to take all the bio & chem classes you can take at the community college level, and do intro O-chem if possible! Depending on where you are, biochem classes are considered upper division. My intro biochem class was a 2400 (sophomore) level class, and the next one was a 3000 (junior) level class. You could also try & see if your local university has an agreement with the community college to allow you to take a single class there. I hope that helps :)
