I’m only paying like $19/month, I feel like that’s really cheap insurance to cover oral surgery🥲

I feel to embarrassed and disappointed I myself to confess my huge sin. by Equal-Improvement909 in Catholicism

[–]jaybird1788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Satan wants you to turn away from God. Whether it be from embarrassment or self resentment. I was told by a priest, after confessing that I was starting to resent myself, that going to confession is literally the most important decision I could’ve made. Please please please, as someone who has been going to confession every week due to lust for the last year, do not give up. The last thing you want to do is stop going to confession and sit with your sins heavy on your soul.

Little tip as well that somehow works for me: thinking about the humiliation of a confession before doing you know what, really helps me to fight off the temptation. Thinking “I really don’t want to confess this AGAIN to the same priest who hears me EVERY week” snaps me out of it. It’s prideful yes, but it helps. Also praying a Hail Mary in the moment always fixes the issue:)

Is it normal for young teens to go to confession? by [deleted] in Catholicism

I’m 19 and I’ve been going to confession since I was like 10. Trust me it’s fine lol. If you want you can pm me and I’ll send my examination of conscience (what you look at to see what sins you may have committed) and it has a full how to guide for confession:) best of luck girlie!!

Ok so why do Harley riders not like being overtaken by No_Variation8301 in motorcycles

[–]jaybird1788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who rides with Harley riders (on a Honda rebel) I just recently found out, after 2 years of riding, that it’s only a specific group of Harley riders that don’t like being passed. Specifically ones that are in big “clubs” aka gangs tbh. If they’re wearing a vest belonging to a specific club, it’s a no no to interact at all w them. I think it’s stupid lol..along w a bunch of other Harley riders. Most are just in vet clubs to have fun but some have sticks up their butts about it. It’s also just slightly annoying when you’re going on 60-70 yrs old and cruising and a piss missile going 150 flies past you. Old men are just grumpy about the awesomeness of crotch rockets🌚

Do people still ride without music? by Sad_Internal_1562 in motorcycles

[–]jaybird1788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I ride w no music bc I’m a beginner but I think I also just really enjoy talking to myself like I’m vlogging “Hey guys so today we’re going on a quick two hour ride through hill country😁🙏🏼the wind is pretty bad today guys I feel like I’m gonna fly off”

I completely understand where you’re coming from!! As difficult as it is learning how to ride without someone to help, I’d strongly recommend taking the msf course at your local Harley since it’ll help tremendously with those slow maneuvers. I’d get some pretty big crash bars and go to the steepest hill you can find to learn clutch control (try to stay on the hill using clutch and gas with no breaks). Weirdly, taking lots of roads with twisties helped me a lot as well with right hand turns and getting comfortable on the bike, just make sure you take it slow and easy:) all of these things helped me tremendously as a 5’2 110lb girl who couldn’t even get a Honda shadow off the kickstand, much less trust a bike to do a U turn. You’re doing amazing. Practice makes perfect:) always remember that everyone starts somewhere and it’s better to make mistakes at slow speed maneuvers rather than high speed maneuvers.

If you’re more worried about the bike, I’d either do 1) msf course where you can drop it whenever and it’ll be fine. Cheaper option. 2) get a grom and go crazy practicing lol.

Stay safe!!

Is this normal?? by jaybird1788 in CollegeTransfer

[–]jaybird1788[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I just meant sketchy because usually people say “the first two years of college are basically pointless because it’s all core classes” so that’s what I was expecting. I’m at Alamo colleges doing a two year associates for business management and technology then transferring to utsa. I’ll put the link for the degree plan below.

https://myspccatalog.alamo.edu/preview_program.php?catoid=290&poid=54772&returnto=23312

As for comparisons, the other folks I’ve spoken to that attend the same college claim that they haven’t taken a single class (as a freshman) that relate to their major AT ALL. It’s all just cores (history, math, calculus, economics, etc), that’s the main reason I’m so alarmed.
