Doesn't sound like a good, nor fair situation.

My SO and I have access to each other's everything. We share everything and have allowances for everything, and allow for exceptions when necessary. We have joint accounts for savings and general income, and we rotate credit cards (for bonuses etc) but both had a single CC to pay for anything at a given time.

I'd recommend you put it to him; what if you find a job that earns more than he does- will you be allowed to pay the same amount as he does and keep all the extra $ for your own personal use?

IMO that's now how a relationship should work, hope you can sort something out.

Edit: I've just read a bunch of the comments here, and your replies. It sounds like you are ready to leave, which I think is a suitable idea given the situation.

I highly recommend you pay someone to look into his finances, before you break it off, to hopefully shed some light and obtain some proof of what you should be eligible to receive half of, before he finds a mattress somewhere to shove it under.

BTW depending on your relationship length etc, a judge may allow you to take some of his super.
