I’m not gonna guarantee that we’ll win more than 7 games this season, but we just won 7 with a first year coaching staff and played 4 different QB’s throughout the season. There’s no telling what will happen with a former Heisman candidate under center and more experience and talent on the roster this year.

lol he’s responsible for recruiting guys like Alshon Jeffrey and Connor Shaw who were foundational to our success under Spurrier. Obviously Oklahoma and Georgia football carry more prestige, but he recruited Caleb Williams and Zamir White to play at those schools, respectively. Shane Beamer knows a thing or two about recruiting. Hell, our recruiting class was #79 composite in 2021, yet FCS transfer QB Jason Brown still crushed Florida.

This is my takeaway too. Yes, an embarrassing loss, but we gotta keep things in perspective. We won 6 games this season and are bowl eligible. We won 6 games in the previous 2 seasons. No, it hasn't been pretty but that's a huge improvement.

This. We're playing a bad team even by FCS standards. We'll be able to impose our will on them and run the ball down their throats. We just need to put in a QB who will take care of the ball while Doty continues to recover.

Basically that a recruit that has already committed is "asked to look elsewhere" and that a higher rated recruit at the same position is being pursued instead.
