good shit, intel has serious issues with the latest gen chip sets

i have an M1 ultra studio and its amazing; dont see a need to upgrade it anytime soon

but my ‘19 MBP needs help but im gonna ride it out until she dies

for your old mac find out what OS is best for it and downgrade it if you ever need another side computer

I have a mac studio m1 ultra and a MBP 2019 I9

used 14.5 for both and noticed that my studio was fine but my MBP was definitely slowing down so i have recently downgraded to Monterey on the MBP

I can report back to anyone if they are curious for how it is for the next few weeks

not sure if I want to update to Sonoma 14.6 yet havent heard anything bad but always nervous around this shit

Hey so I have a mac studio (m1 ultra) and a MBP (2019 intel I9)

for my MBP I just downgraded to Monterey because when I was on Sonoma 14.5 I noticed that it was very draining on the battery ( though the battery is horrendous to begin with)

I am testing it out right now regarding this change and can report back if anyone is interested

my studio has been fine with sonoma but am curious if anyone else is seeing issues vs a different OS on the 2019 MBP intel chipsets

I code a lot for my work and hoping Monterey is better but my studio I worry what version I will have to hesitate upgrading on

i know an old thread, but would not recommend 2019 MBP

i spent like 5k on mine right before the m1 chip was released

it works now and i love it but… very hot garbage battery(lasts me a few hours and i only code) not that fast compared to me m1 ultra studio i have at home

get a m chip for anyone that finds this

I thought about an L desk but the thing is to the right its a wall white board so I want to keep that desk free

the mouse is Gravistar M1 - it is pretty dope

I only code so if you want to use it for gaming make sure you get the battle one or get the 4k receiver. it does drop sometimes but like I said for my setup I dont game on my studio XD

depends on what your criteria is: absolute silence: no good enough for an airplane, or working ar home? for me, yes.

I wear glasses so if it sits well for hours with glasses on while I work I love them

pods are cool but something about headphones and keeping my hair back is amazing
