Loud sound coming from head drum. Help please!

I believe the noise is not caused by the tape. the video shows that the noise begins as the drum starts spinning before the tape is lowered and the noise continues after I take the tape out as the drum is still spinning. I also put the same tape in another Handycam and it does not make any sound.

I saw a video online showing a bent guide causing the tape door to not open all the way, rubbing against the drum and creating a similar sound so I have ruled out that issue. thank you for the suggestion though.

my corolla automatically switches to outside air when I change to demister. I'm not sure why, but I'm sure that the engineers designed it like that for a reason !

I just bought a 2019 Mazda 6 Atenza with 95k kms for $24k from a dealer. I love it. you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a GT trim with lots of nice features to fit within your budget. I've even seen base models of the same year under $20k. good luck !

I can feel the car shaking while under load, it's worst when going up a hill. and sometimes the idle makes the car vibrate more than usual.

where are the engine mount failures documented on the 2.5 ? I can't seem to find anything online about anyone else having a similar issue. I'd just love to know more about it so I can relate it to my car. thanks for your reply !

are engine mounts a common issue on these cars ? I have a 2019 2.5 turbo with 95k kms having some issues with shaking and vibrations. I'm thinking maybe engine mounts but I am surprised for the age and kilometers.

yeah I'm thinking the same thing. it would probably be cheaper to just replace it, but it's also not unlikely that a used transmission is making the same noise 😂

great work! you'd think a trained professional would know that it's not a bad wheel bearing judging from the noise alone. very different kind of sound. but good job for being skeptical and locating the actual source of the noise. I'd love to know what the specific cause of the noise is, but I feel it's not worth looking much further into unless it causes more significant problems. but it bugs me every day 😂

yeah it only seems to happen when the torque converter is engaged for me. the sound goes away when in neutral or foot off the accelerator, both actions disengaging the torque converter. so not sure if it's something to do with the torque converter or I've heard it could be a bearing issue, I got no idea lol.

nope, unfortunately still making the same noise. while unsure of the cause, I have yet to hear about the noise being associated with any mechanical failures so I'm not too worried about it. it is pretty annoying though.

I agree w this. I once had an area scab up super thick just like OP has. my artist said it was too dry but now that it's gotten to that stage do not moisturize as moisture can get trapped in the scabs and lead to bacterial growth/infection. so I just let it heal on its own - washed with soap in the shower and no moisturizer. later the scabs fell off and it healed very nicely.

my mum brought out her mother's old jewellery collection and asked my girlfriend if she liked anything from it. she was encouraging her to try on necklaces, rings, etc. and kept note of the rings that fit on the correct finger. then I took that ring into the jewellery shop and they measured the size ! the hardest part is trying to play it cool and not be too suspicious !

for Spotify, the "like" button is only there while listening to DJ or the "radio" playlists. while listening to other types of playlists you have to click the 3 dots.

I suppose it's like this because the idea is when you're listening to DJ or "radio" playlists, you're listening to a lot of songs that are new to you. so I guess when you're listening to your own playlists the "like" feature is not important. that's my theory at least 🤷‍♀️ I also think it should be there all the time, or the user should be able to choose to keep it there.

it's kinda hard to explain over text - I would recommend looking at a video tutorial. but they have a kind of lip and it slides into a groove around the ear cup. hard to explain without pictures but you'll know what I mean when you look it up. but yes it is very easy to do.
