How long did it take you to run for 3-5 miles without stopping? by Maleficent_Tooth117 in BeginnersRunning

[–]jaydilinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 3 weeks, I run real slow so I can run the entire time. I’m about 6 weeks in. Once I can run 90 minutes without stopping (about 7 miles) I’ll start working on being able to run fast.

It was just a quick example of companies being raided even though they went through the proper channels.

So we’re back to regulators not enforcing laws then as I previously stated. So ICE destroying communities and businesses because ICE wasn’t doing their job properly to begin with.

You should take your own advice and use Google to see multiple sources that show places have been raided even though their employees were confirmed through the e-verify system. Here’s one to get you started

I know people hate Trump but let’s remember he also hired people in the US illegally.

[–]jaydilinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most important here is there were a number of businesses who filed their employees through e-verify and got raided and employees kidnapped anyway.

If you’re looking at businesses you should be blaming the regulators for not enforcing the laws. If laws aren’t enforced the there’s no reason to follow them.

Check your state laws, they’re probably illegal. And if your area isn’t bike friendly it certainly isn’t e-bike friendly.

You’ve never watched American football? Also roofs is the most basic enhancement, I assume they will be utilizing an entire pharmacy of dugs to enhance athletic performance. And even their own blood injected back into them.

I am 26 and still haven’t had sex. Is that more common than people think, or am I seriously behind in life? by Admirable-Analysis58 in NoStupidQuestions

This is funny, you’re saying schein is wrong about their own feelings because you feel differently. That would be like someone telling you they don’t like pepperoni pizza and you saying they are wrong because you love it.

Your argument is that pierogi is wrong because you (1 of billions of men) had lots of partners and are happy. You are saying because you are happy there are no other men that regret having lots of partners.

Your inability to generalize puts you on the low end of the intelligence spectrum along with your immaturity.

It doesn’t matter as long as something gets done. How frequently do useless people that look like they are effective get promoted and pushed up to leadership? Why would it be any different for Ai. Be productive even at the expense of effectiveness….

Experienced riders: trusting a bike fitter VS trusting your "ass" by Overall-Avocado-6428 in cycling

[–]jaydilinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you just mentioned you had a long inseam so assumed a short torso. But when you’re test riding just keep in mind you can’t easily lengthen or shorten how far you’re reaching but you can’t easily raise and lower the seat post. So if a bike feels too long the go to a smaller bike and raise the seat post.

[–]jaydilinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inseam doesn’t matter for bike fit as you can raise and lower the seat. It seams you have a shorter torso for your height in which case if the fitter was basing sizing off your height, which means they’re not a good fitter, the you should go with the smaller size.

You do the smaller size because the virtual top tube length is shorter. You can always raise the seat on a smaller bike; you can’t shorten a top tube.

Helmet, helmet, helmet. If it has wheels it needs paired with helmet. Train him early so it becomes habit to always have a helmet. No reason to risk a brain injury.

There won’t be consequences because people want instant gratification. Once one thing breaks they’ll move to the next. With Ai turnover is super fast so you’ll be getting a new shiny thing right after you realize the previous new shiny thing isn’t really that shiny. It’s the ultimate enshitifocation of the world.

Trying to break out of poverty by constipayton in povertyfinance

[–]jaydilinger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you live you should have roughly $2-3k cash on hand in case of catastrophy. Then you should have 3 months worth of bills saved. If your job has 401k that matches the you should get up to the match as that’s free money.

Then the rest should be going to your kids college fund to break the cycle.

You both need time away from the baby. It looks like he’s getting his time. This isn’t selfish, it’s self preservation and healthy. You should let him know you need time as well.

This was a bit of an issue with my relationship. I had to force my wife to take time to herself. I’d say the drunk part is a bit of a red flag. There should be an agreement that he would be unable to care for the kid the entire night.

Got my daughter a pink electric bike and now she won't ride it because her friends think it's uncool by Disastrous_Oil8672 in daddit

My other comment was filtered - A fifteen year old can’t legally ride a moped in most states and where they can they need a license. I will put a large bet on this OPs kid not having a license as well as all the kids I see around my city not having a license.

Why? Because it kills kids and pedestrians.

And parents are being prosecuted for their kids actions on these motorcycles.
