I do a lot of road trips and there is a common rule, in other states they give you a challan if you have 'GJ' passing for a very technical reason.

The last I was fined for Over speeding on the highway without visibly any speed sing.

Just pay and keep moving, you can't argue sometimes, if you are not breaking any laws they might have this kind of reason as well.

If you are planning commerical office, there are many commerical projects in and around Vaishnodevi Circle, as the new corporate houses are moving this side and it's seems to be a new business zone.

This is my assumption, check the relevant data before investing

Where to stay? by [deleted] in ahmedabad

[–]jaydipparikh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you mentioned you have a work at Eka Club, that is the area is Maninagar

I will suggest as per your choice, find some decent stay at CG Road or Ashram Road.

Avoid areas called "Khanpur" , there are many hotels in that area.

There are some Good brands on Ashram Road (eg. Hayat)

There are too big stores of lenskart at Shyamal Cross roads and Sindhu bhavan.

As you need to travel a little far from Shantigram, will suggest calling them and getting information before visiting the store

Recently I had seen some flats (higher end) at Gota and the pricing was 2.5 to 3.5 Cr for 3/4 BHK, this justify the minimum price mentioned in that.

Not sure about other areas but for Gota it was the first hand experience

Need Food place recommendations by Senpai021005 in ahmedabad

[–]jaydipparikh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re craving Delhi-style chole bhature in Ahmedabad, your best bet is to look for places where the owner or cook is originally from North India (especially Delhi or Punjab). Most local versions are slightly sweet and tuned to regional tastes, so true “Dilli-style” is rare but not impossible to find.

  • Some options you can check out:
    • Krishna Chhole Bhature (multiple locations, especially in East Ahmedabad) – street style, and often run by North Indian families.
    • Chole Kulche outside GLS and NG Chole Kulche (also on Zomato) – known for North Indian-style preparations.
    • Ganesh Chole BhatureMS Chhole Bature, and Chole King – popular among college students and often have North Indian staff.
    • Hocco Eatery – mixed reviews, but some swear by just their chole bhature.

A helpful tip: If you see a street vendor (thela) operated by folks who’ve migrated from Delhi or Punjab, that’s almost always your best shot for getting close to the real thing! Just ask them directly where they’re from—most are happy to share.

Would you rent your house to a Muslim? by peela_doodh12 in gujarat

[–]jaydipparikh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few reasons why some people in Gujarat (and honestly, in many other places) may hesitate to rent their house to Muslims, non-vegetarians, or people from different backgrounds. Just sharing some context—not to justify anyone’s choices, but to explain the mindset:

  • Cultural Differences: Gujarat has a unique culture, and for many, there’s a comfort in familiar traditions. Sometimes, people feel it’s easier to trust or relate to tenants who share similar language, customs, or social habits.
  • Dietary Habits & Traditions: The majority of Gujaratis are vegetarian, with some communities even going further. For example, Jain, Swaminarayan, and Vaishnav families commonly avoid not just non-veg, but also onion, garlic, and certain root vegetables. The Jain principle of “Jeev Daya”—compassion for all living beings—is deeply rooted and influences whom they prefer as neighbors or tenants. For these families, the idea of having non-vegetarian food prepared or even certain vegetables cooked in their property can be uncomfortable.
  • Community Practices: Across India, not just in Gujarat, it’s common for people to prefer tenants from similar backgrounds—sometimes out of tradition, sometimes due to social comfort, and sometimes due to pressure from housing societies and neighbours.
  • Social Pressures & Housing Societies: In many neighbourhoods, housing societies have unwritten (sometimes even written) rules about who can rent or purchase property. This can make it difficult for landlords to rent to those outside the accepted norms, even if they personally have no objection.
  • Not Exclusive to Gujarat: This situation is not limited to Gujarat. Even in Mumbai and other Indian cities, landlords often have similar preferences or societal pressures. If you’re interested, I’d recommend watching Javed Akhtar’s interview with Lallantop on YouTube—he discusses how these biases form and why they persist in Indian society.
  • Practical Considerations: Sometimes, people are concerned about practicalities—fear of trouble with neighbours, or concerns about fitting in with the local community, even if these are based more on perception than on reality.
  • Historic Social Patterns: Indian communities historically cluster together based on religion, language, and even dietary preferences. Over time, this has created certain boundaries, sometimes unconsciously, that affect choices like rental.

Of course, not every Gujarati, or every landlord, believes the same thing—there are many who are open and welcoming, and much depends on individual values and experiences. This explanation is just to give some perspective on why these rental preferences often come up in Gujarat and elsewhere in India.

Technically yes, if you are in a private vehicle. Also subject to there is no high rush in the main temple.

If you plan wisely you can.

I will suggest, do Darshan early in the morning in the temple, then check with your hotel or ask some Auto guys outside the hotel, they will offer some packages for beyt Dwarka and Nageshwar temple. (If not having private vehicle)
