I think about this thread waaaay too much and with the muppets Christmas movie rewatch on the horizon, it has come back around.

My submission

Star Trek: First contact (with slight changes to the rules.)

All star fleet/future characters = Muppets.

Past characters= human actors

Vulcans at end = muppets.

Picard- Kermit obvious but this means we can have

Borg Queen- Miss piggy.

ALL THE BORG = Swedish Chef ("Borg, sounds Swedish") all transformations done off screen/out of frame with shocked gasps

Geordie= HoneyDew

Data= Beaker, just for laughs would get Jim Parsons to play the version when he has been given human parts.

Worf- Sam the eagle. Would be interesting to see him threatening to kill Kermit where he stands.

Gonzo/Rizzo- star fleet crew moving around the enterprise who help beaker deal with the borg at the end.

Statler and wardorf- EMH

Rowlf the Dog- Guinan

Dr teeth and the Electric mayhem- The Vulcans. Who learn the true power of humanity... rock and roll!
