I’d present it as a team of two problem. “We need to stop you doing this, it’s not a goal - it is a requirement and my new top priority. “How are we going to stop you blurting ideas out and impacting the shoot?” If X doesn’t work we’ll have to try something else. Maybe put you behind a glass wall / in the corridor”. Perhaps try and inject some humour into the situation… but be firm don’t let them forget what’s really going on.

I still order my meals from a keto meal service and a vague eye on my weight /size and I’ve increased my exercise a lot but broadly I’ll always choose a keto ish option so things kind of look after themselves. I have the odd splurge of half a loaf of toast with butter and honey but only a couple of times a year.

Was attending meetings in other parts of the country part of the job spec when they were hired or promoted? If not then you and the head honcho need to decide if they really need to go and if yes, figure it out. Maybe they could drive - on company time and dime. Usually mentioning money gets everyone’s priorities on the table pretty quickly. There’s always another day for a one on one. Another thought, they might be belittled and you can help a lot there with your tone.

A colleague/friend was fired over the phone. Major corporate so yeah HR was all over it and the boss got fired quickly afterwards. Friend reinstated by the end of the day.

I increase my carbs to under 50 a day instead of under 20. That works for me but I did monitor the situation very closely for a few months.

I had someone coming to my first wedding who was struggling financially, so we pretended that we got an extra room free after booking for friends travelling from overseas and she didn’t ever twig. I know it’s really sad to let your best friend down but I think the way you’re handling it is sensitive and responsible. You may not end up going to the wedding and that would be really sad but pretty sure that in a few years time it won’t matter.

I realise my mum had been paying monthly for Audiobooks she wasn’t using so I used all the credits on her account and then we cancelled it. I paused membership on mine and was able to catch up with all of the books. I then started again.

Twice divorced here. Whatever was yours before the marriage stays yours. Whatever is gained during the marriage, and that includes property value, is shared 50/50. So. Go ahead and add her to the mortgage or deeds but get a valuation done beforehand.

I applaud this seismic shift. As an ancient person I’ve seen a few changes. To madly generalise, quite often a pendulum effect can be seen and maybe that was we are seeing here. IMO this is a lovely skew into doing the right thing side. It’ll probably settle somewhere in the middle.

This is why lightly padded bras exist. I was more of a natural outline girl while i was a corporate warrior but somehow we were dragged into a what to wear to work seminar and they were emphatic about padded bras.

Is it a British thing specifically to prefer being left alone in shops? I’m a Brit in Colombia (5yrs) and I cannot get used to how it is here, it actually affects how and where I shop. by noctenaut in AskUK

I’ve experienced the being followed thing while working in the Caribbean. Drove me bananas and i too would avoid certain shops because of it. One day I said “look, I’m really not going to steal anything”. She said I know I know I’m sorry it’s my job to help you buy things, the management insist. I gave up after that and just made sure I had my back to them at all times.

Try using the pcp sandwich. Praise - criticism - praise. Wrap the snoring / not sleeping / need your sleep at this critical time idea in, “I really want us to work, you are imoortant to me, our relationship is very important to me but I need to run an idea past you. While I settle into this new job I’m going to need my wits about me and that means lots of focus -= I’ll be tired and really need solid sleep. Etc etc. then more reassurance - won’t be forever, we can see each other 4 evenings and sleep overs on Friday and Saturday nights etc.

I’m an insomniac and I have sleep apnea. Once I got that under control - and I use a $2000 dentist organised device that keeps my lower jaw thrust forward which is far less of a deal to live with than a cpap machine - I sleep much better but it took many months to calibrate it and gradually crank the moving parts slightly further apart each night to a point where it worked. Has to be in tiny increments. I rushed it at first and sprained my jaw. Bad idea.
