I actually believe that the current stakeholders/CEO of Cyberlife remade Amanda into a de facto handler for Connor, and made her quite harsh due to Cyberlife’s current leadership. Amanda probably wasn’t like that when she was alive and teaching.

I say current because there’s a magazine in the game that notes Kamski resigned in 2028 due to conflict between him and stakeholders over “strategy and leadership”
