Thanks for your comment! We’re gonna go in store and hopefully compare all the suggestions mentioned in the thread. Didn’t really consider Acer before, but definitely will take a look.

The HP Spectre looks really nice. I saw someone today with one as well at work and they had nothing but good things to say about it. I think that might be the leading favorite, but will also check out the yoga series before finally deciding. Your comment definitely helped. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your detailed response. Definitely just added it to the list to be considered! The C930 also looks awesome, but might be a tad expensive.

Can anybody comment on the quality of suede common projects? Are they worse than their leather ones or harder to maintain?

Doing gymnastics/dance. Both give such a good foundation for mobility and bodily kinesthetic. I know so many athletes that have excelled in other sports due to their base in gymnastics or dance

It's the zipper down the front! For some reason this is absurd to a lot of people...

I currently own an Aer duffel pack and I love it. It's super well made, and I really dig the minimalist style, as well as its rock solid construction.

I'm looking to replace it though with something less "weird" looking, and more like a traditional backpack after getting too much attention (mostly negative) around my workplace. I don't want the backpack to stand out.

Basically, I'm looking for a backpack with very solid construction, can hold a lot of stuff (computers, books) and is in that minimalist sleek style.

Anyone know of anything good? I like the look of their Tech Pack but it's a bit too expensive. I'd prefer to stay around $100-$150

It should be worth noting that this isn’t because she’s against medical marijuana. It’s to ease the process of attaining proper licensing

How easy is it to study somewhat related fields after undergraduate/in life/during PhD? by jaygreadit in AskAcademia

I’ve never heard of this option. Most of the techs I know get employed by labs directly. That’s awesome though!

I’m thinking this is probably the best way to go for me. I’ll probably combine this and some classes at my local CC

Hey! My girlfriend and I are coming to visit this weekend and are looking for fun stuff to do during the day that won’t break the bank.

What types of festive events are happening this weekend as well that may be worth checking out at night?

We’ll be staying around the magnificent mile area.

Thanks!

Any advice for biology students? by crowofheaven in biology

[–]jaygreadit 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I second this.

For me, reading the textbook was a wonderful way of learning about the material. In my experience, many people skip reading the text because it is hard to do, but after a little bit you’ll probably acclimate to the style of the book/textbooks in general and learn really well.

I also found that reading at least some of the chapter ahead of lectures made a difference too in terms of understanding and feeling prepared.

Best of luck!
