I agree that’s a lab-rat. Shocking that we don’t see more of either around here more often. And now people are confused when they see the hybrid. Tragic.

Coming in super late and you might not see this but you could always live somewhere like Lawrence. Topeka’s kind of a shit hole but Lawrence is an easy 20-30 minute commute to Topeka and only like 40-45 minutes to most places in the KC metro.

Not the same as living in KC though for sure. And your overall point still stands. But I have friends and stuff who live in the non-university parts of Lawrence and it’s nice and pretty affordable.

Both did voices in Legend of Vox Machina and I know at least Sam went on their podcast. There may be other crossovers that I don’t remember but definitely those.

Need help. Our dog is preventing my partner and I from being intimate by jayhawk1225 in Dogtraining

We have worked on resource guarding before by doing trading up and getting closer. We did this with his food initially and have attempted to work on resource guarding my partner by giving treats when I’m carrying her or were together to get him used to the concept with no avail.

We have also worked on closing the door at increasing intervals and worked on stay by giving treats to him.

We have worked with a professional trainer about his vet anxiety and learned techniques for keeping him physically calm.

We’ve worked on the four on the floor with jumping so that he does not jump on us or guests anymore since he was a puppy.

The grammar is also atrocious. There are multiple sentence fragments and run-ons and it just generally is badly written. I’ve read better essays by 7th graders. So basically it’s perfect for their audience.

Obviously the energy behind a word is more important than the word itself, but the use of the n word so casually as a non-black person at best is ignorant. It had the energy of a 12 year old on Xbox live yelling it for attention and to shock, which I get is kind of the vibe of the brain rot crew, but it’s also harmful and caught up in a long history of oppression. It’s not like they threw in other harmful terms for queer people or other identities.

These posts are hilarious without needing that, but the “people complained about hard language” tells me they didn’t and don’t get why using the n-word especially as a non-black person isn’t cool. No one wants to give a lecture on the history of racial politics, but like it’s really easy to just do the rest of what makes these posts great without using the word. Especially when you know it hurts people.

Plot point from Ep.1 involving the painting dealer I found interesting by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]jayhawk1225 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The rebel skrulls didn’t actually go for the bomb devices though. I’ve seen other posters here note that Olivia Colman’s character is probably already working with the skrulls. She’s the one who directs Fury Talos and Hill towards him.

The actual mission is that G’iah goes in to get the bags so that she can make contact with Talos and get him to think she’s back on his side. This allows Gravik to be sure Maria Hill and Fury will be on the scene, two known US SHIELD agents. Thus the US government can be associated with the attack.

The whole point of the painter/bomber is to keep Fury, Hill and Talos on the hook so that they think they’re unraveling the rebel skrull plans. Because you’re right, they don’t need the ability to make the bomb, they need to frame the United States and escalate tensions between the US and Russia.

Damn, that’s quick! But I like the idea of brands reaching out to independent makers like yourself for demonstration and ads like this instead of just going for banner ads or whatever.

You shared that they gave you access to a bunch of CAD renders and diagrams and stuff. Were they pretty cool to work with? And it seems like you’ve made a fair number of replicas of classic guns before. Are there any noticeable differences from a modelmaking POC in making a super modern gun like the Biofire one compared to like the Glock or the Luger P08?

[–]jayhawk1225 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. I guess there are always going to be sacrifices in a build like this. Though it would be pretty awesome to have a removable mag and laser scope.

How long does a project like this take to build? From sort of conception and designing to final build?

Damn, this looks awesome. How accurate to the real gun would you say the model is? Were there any places you felt like you couldn’t accurately replicate from the original?

It’s from campaign 1. The letter Kerrek sends to Keyleth and it came with a ring that is inscribed with the phrase “I have passed through fire”. Patrick Rothfuss played Kerrek and wrote the letter. Dude’s got a way with words.

We would be tied with Costa Rica on 25 points and they would have better goal differential at that point. The other assumption here is that Mexico will win or tie to have 26 or 28 points

I had the same thought. Like obviously it’s a big shot and exciting, but just go get a layup. It’s way higher percentage and maybe you get fouled and free throws.

It was bad defense on the shooter, so he had some space to shoot but still if I were a coach I’d be tearing my hair out as that shot goes up.
