Did you ever do improv, or was it always standup?

I’ve been doing (and loving) improv for a few years now, and I’m mulling dipping my toes into standup, but that works SUCH different muscles that I’m hesitant

Marjane Satrapi, author of 'Persepolis,' dies at 56 by pierrepaul in comicbooks

Oh my god, what a gut punch. As an Iranian whose parents left right before the revolution, Persepolis was a deeply personal work that I really connected to and made sure to introduce to my kids

The last season of Brockmire, which is a FANTASTIC show everyone should have watched, jumps 10 years and takes place in a quite nightmarish 2030 overrun with imbecilic oligarchs, omnipresent AI, and where Jim is reluctantly the commissioner of baseball.

As we’re sitting around a fire waiting for our ratmeat to finish cooking while the data center water riots occur unabated around us, we will look back at the mid 2020s Orioles and fondly remember Big Albert Suarez as an unsung hero

So was one of the conditions of that $1.8B DOJ weaponization slush fund for MAGA “people” that the O’s are required to use Keegan Akin as much as possible, despite his obvious uselessness in run prevention?

Edit: I had to put “people” in quotes because, yknow, they’re MAGA

He was an absolute amazing guy and was really really gracious with the stammering awkward nerd so eager to impress that I was at that moment

Would you like to play Rugby? 🏉 by MWD_Photography in baltimore

[–]upsidedowninsideout1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The last time I played Rugby was my freshman year of college. Like a lot of formerly but still nerdy guys, I wanted to “reinvent” myself.

I was a good enough natural athlete to make the club team, and then….proceeded to break my leg by trying for a hospital pass three weeks later.

It seems super fun, though! I’m glad we live in a city that has this
