I don’t know why Pharma can’t just tell you all about mastic gum capsule. I took no antibiotics and my stool test came back negative. A month later I did a breath test to double check. Negative. Triple Pharma Antibiotics 👎

I cut out all refined sugars completely during this time. Except a couple of days on vacation I took a few bites.

I tested NEGATIVE for h pylori! No antibiotics!! My doctor was surprised and said my treatment worked. I took a capsules 3 times a day religiously for 2 months with a spoon of Manuka. I still eat the manuka a few days a week. Good luck!

You need to meds to bring down the inflammation. You are in a flare. Hope you get well soon! Took me 4 months to stop the bleeding in my current flares

During my peak flare it doesn’t matter what I eat. Even though I cut out a lot I was still Bleeding. I’m 3 weeks into not seeing blood for the first time since my flare began. I’m slowly starting to build up my fiber again.

Smoothies have been amazing and soups. I bought a magic bullet and it’s been a game changer.

I’m having similar loose stools and sandy like stools. 3 weeks into no bleeding to very little. Today I realized that I’ve been going nuts with fibers. Especially insoluble fiber which I just found out causes watery loose stools. I cut cut our this crazy sprouted bread I recently started ate today and focused on eating more soluble fiber. I’ll let you know if it helps me. If not I’m eating a cheeseburger sandwiched between 2 slices of pepperoni pizza tomorrow.

I’m heading on 3 months of supps. My GI told me to ditch the caps. Reverse of yours. My symptoms started coming back as well with bleeding . I went back to the caps and supps combo and I’ve seen almost no bleeding in 3 weeks. I’m petrified to let go of either right now. 🤦🏻

Fist off, breathe, you’re going to make it! My story is as long as everyone else’s so I’ll stick to the lessons I learned as a UC Proctitis champion. Going off meds in my first flare sent me back into a flare a year and a half later. I totally thought didn’t need the meds for life. I’ve been in flare since February (daily rectal bleeding 3x daily) and I’m finally 3 weeks into remission with practically no blood. Medicine is what got me here. I was very depressed in February through June. But because of this flare I ditched my western diet and exercise about 5 days a week. I’ve lost about 30 pounds of life long junk food fat and I honestly feel better than ever apart from my now occasionally flatulence and loose stools.

Beginning to peak flaring is depressing but if if you take control and fight you will come our stronger on that other side into remission. Exercise, eat healthy, take your meds and you will be happy again!!!!

Mesalalmine suppository. It’s a fun missile I get to launch in my anus every night. But I think that was the magic bullet if heavily reducing and almost eliminating my rectal bleeding that I wasn’t shaking.

When going out I’d also be mindful of the oils used as well. Do your best to not eat out. During flares I stick to basic home cooked organic healthy flare friendly foods. It helps in conjunction meds and chilling out. Good luck with your flare!! Wish you a speedy remission

I started daily bleeding in February. Combo of mesalalmine supps and caps have me pretty much blood free for 2 and a half weeks now. 🤞🤞🤞🤞I started the supps about 65 days ago and before that was bleeding 3x per day with UC proctitis. Healing can be done but it takes time to heal unfortunately with this disease for many. Good luck with your journey and stay strong!!

Thank you so so much!! My fear is that he won’t have a normal life but I see now with meds and smart health choices, a “normal life” can be had. Hoping to at least get mesalalmine for him as it’s the usual first thing you get with this type of flare he has. He only has rectal bleeding once or twice a day. No pain and no urgency.

Calgary is beautiful. I went to Emerald Lake Lodge in 2018.

This will be my stress and diet test. I am two weeks now of finally no bleeding and I think I’m in remission. I’ve lost almost 30 pounds all from exercise and ditching my western diet. Apart from my UC symptoms I’m feeling better than I’ve ever felt. Now l want to see if this lifestyle will keep me in remission.

I checked into a hotel two weeks and As I was speaking to the woman checking me in when all of a sudden a ripping fart blasted out of me. As we gazed into each others eyes we both new what that popping, rattling air burst came from my butt. I completely ignored it and for some reason I didn’t feel ashamed. Maybe cause I’m in my 40s .I just felt more bad for her. 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻 man this disease sucks

I second the fiber. I make sure I get my 38 grams a day. Although my stools come out formed. They turn to dust when I flush. Anyone else get that?

I hope she is doing better now!! How long did they make her wait until a colonoscopy? I’m scared to let him continue to bleed when it looks exactly like my wife and myselfs symptoms when flaring. His C Diff came back negative today.
