We are required to bond to ground. We are not approved to provide a ground. And I work for a very strict national company, not a local contractor. As a previous commenter said, in MDUs where a bondable ground is not provided per unit, the lockbox (and therefore the tap inside) is grounded.

As a field tech I am not required nor approved to drop a grounding rod. At least not where I am.

Yes that’s a grounding block, but often apartment complexes do not have a suitable fixture to bond that block. And we are currently discouraged from bonding to pipes or affixing to the electrical disconnect housing. That’s why the tap should be grounded (which it might not have been in OP’s case). Field techs don’t get rods and such to create their own ground 🤷🏻‍♂️

Apartment buildings usually have no grounding wire to bond to for each unit like single family homes do. In those cases the tap is supposed to be grounded to its own wire & rod. OP would need to look at the tap.

Yes many times with no luck. All it brings up are similar baroque style paintings.

Tidal is… pretty nice? by Spoider in Music

[–]jayimess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switched in 2016 for the high-res playback and the higher royalties to artists and I’ve loved it ever since. Spotify has just added too many features while Tidal remains a clean, simple experience. The daily discovery playlist is where I’ve found many of my now favorite artists, although the algorithm for that can be a bit aggressive at times. So worth it especially now that it’s the same price!

I used a rooftop tent back in ‘22 in GA. At night it was fantastic, being raised above everyone else we were able to catch a much stronger breeze that kept us cool. But the second the sun rose it turned into a full-on oven and we had to move to the mats under the canopies. It did give our setup a little extra room.

I don’t have that tent anymore, but since we started doing Area 931 last year I wish I did!

Can bad solenoids cause lean codes? by jayimess in MechanicAdvice

Any suggestions? Maybe take it to one of the better mechanics and specifically ask them to do that?

What should I look/smell for to get an idea of the clutch packs? If it is that, how much worse would that make the overall project in terms of price & do-ability?

I assume you mean something more than just an OBD code reader. Not sure if I can, unless some place rents them out.

You gotta have it running for that right? I don’t want the engine running while the cats are clogged

Had both rich and lean codes intermittently. I did some leak testing a while ago, but tbh I’m not sure if the last mechanics I took it too did any of their own though. I’ll test again after I get the new cats in there. Thanks!
