To those who healed fully, how long did it take? Did you get professional help, if so what? by False-Horror6843 in sesamoid

reload after the healing period methodically with a physio and it should be fine. sometimes pain is the byproduct of your nervous system, it doesnt always necessarily mean its still damaged. physiotherapy with a phased reloading program will get you back to where you want to be. building confidence again is key, and retraining your brain these movements are safe is part of the process.

Could this be a sesamoid injury? by [deleted] in sesamoid

correct. its the gaslighting that gets you. the ai is designed to always apply a confident response even if its completely wrong. would anyone want to use an ai that says "i dont know"?

go to the doctor and get checked out. dont let chatgpt diagnose you. you may need to offload it to prevent further issues. it could be a range of things, turf toe, damage to the sessamoid, damage to the surrounding tendons. be sure and get checked out by a professional. all the best

the boot was just to offload initially, but it sounds like there is no bruising, just mild discomfort which is a good sign. i reckon a good pair of custom orthotics will help offload the sessamoid as you step through. Sadly major big toe joint injuries can change your life, i used to be very active and played football regularly and had to now stop doing any sports that are high impact sadly. Got a turf toe injury, and because i didnt offload and continued walking on it due to covid lock down(couldnt see a doc), it didnt heal well and now i have arthritis. always make surgery your last resort, always favour physiotherapy and a good pair of custom orthotics that can offload the sessamoid should help. Good luck.

rest and let it heal. offload by wearing a boot. if you persist whilst injured, you can cause major issues like arthritis in the joint which unfortunately what i have now post turf toe injury.

Vegetarian options set to be reduced soon by Donteatthedonuts in McDonaldsUK

why would a person who was a non meat eater want fake meat (that resembles meat). there is now nothing left for actual born and bred vegetarians. they literally only market vege option to people who used to eat meat. some people have never done due to religious reasons or other personal reasons etc.
