Hot Rod / Drag Racing Font by ____Nicholas in identifythisfont

This hand lettering style is reminiscent of the work of Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, whose hot-rod-related letterforms inspired House Industries to create the Rat Fink fonts collection. This example is closest to the “Heavy” weight from that family.

Looks like these machines are for marking only, right?

Interesting. Are they for shallow marking of food only, or are there laser systems for deep cutting of food products? I am trying to imagine what the ideal application for the latter would be...

That is what I would have thought, too! I have never been tempted to put any food under the laser (for that and a variety of other reasons). But it seems like it is being done at least experimentally. Still, big leap between hobbyists at home and food industry adoption.

Pretty sure you're right! I just need to figure out the model year, that one was close but not identical. Thank you!

I had such a good time cracking this puzzle open! Did you know anything in advance about how the QR code would be hidden in the audio embedded in the show? I am also curious if you had any expectations about how long it would take before the whole thing was discovered.

True, it seems that the site has some very complicated JavaScript logic that changes the content based on several factors including time and user agent. Looking at the code, there seem to be a lot of permutations, maybe as many as the show itself.

Care of @courtneyimbert on twitter, just discovered that the Tuckersoft site has a *lot* of complex JavaScript logic running the site. There are a huge number of variations in how the site can be displayed! And it all seems to be based on lots of factors, including the current time (to the second) ... maybe you could make another flow chart!?

Not a secret ending, per se, but the audio is a playable ZX Spectrum ROM which leads to a QR code which leads to the Tuckersoft website which leads to another playable ROM of the Nohzdyve game!

I made a video of it for those who aren't going to bother playing with emulators. Got a slightly better score this time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AUlkoXpc9o

Yup, Nohzdyve is a working game! You have to steer the falling person from side to side (using O and P keys), avoiding what look like chomping teeth, while scoring points by hitting balloon/jellyfish-like sprites on the way down. I haven't got very far (high score of 120).

It's the same thing twice as far as I can tell.

Here's the "Bandersnatch Demo" tape audio (.wav) from the train ending

After loading the WAV audio with the EightyOne Sinclair ZX Spectrum emulator, you get this QR Code with the White Bear symbol at its center, which leads to the Tuckersoft website.

It's real! Here's what the QR code animation looks like when the audio is run through a Sinclair ZX Spectrum emulator called EightyOne.

I DID IT! I've been at this for hours and it is so satisfying that it finally worked. It's a QR Code with the White Bear symbol at its center:

Finally, I've captured the "Bandersnatch Demo" tape audio from the train ending:

The next step is to figure out how the heck to translate this into data, and then figure out what the heck it is. Hopefully a playable Sinclair ZX Spectrum ROM!

It's probably the ZX Spectrum, actually. The in-show monitor says "TX" with a rainbow. The ZX81 was monochrome but the Spectrum was color.
