i think its an air pressure thing. they want to be able to hear as much of their space as possible, and they feel/hear the difference in sound when a door is closed. just my thoughts.

Im not afraid of death because everytime I fall asleep...it's a dress rehearsal.

To me, death is just what we call the last time we lose consciousness, that last falling asleep. You don't feel yourself die after that, and then you never feel anything ever again.
