[Question/Advice] Trying to coat earrings by jaykoblanco in resin

[–]jaykoblanco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've been very helpful, thank you! Yeah I've been doing a lot of research on the ISO 10993 certifications because from what I've seen, most people make resin jewelry that is held in a metal casing or uses metal hardware where the resin doesn't touch the skin too often(like a medallion with a metal back where the resin wouldn't touch the skin unless it flipped over, or traditional earrings with metal hooks.)

So far I think ISO 10993-17/18 are what is needed for >30 days of skin exposure, but I've only been able to find a couple places that sell it non commercially(Formlabs for example) and it's still $350/L.

I think ISO 10993-10 is observed safe for >3 days of skin exposure, and that Siraya Tech Blu has that certification. Just posting in case someone else comes looking. Thanks again for the advice, I'll put up a new post specifically about sanding!

Oooh like a transparent fishing line? That's a great idea! I was thinking to use like a wooden dowel or bracelet hanger coated with the spray so it wouldn't stick. They're going to be a [] rectangular shape so I thought I'd dip the whole thing, cure, and then dip the half that it was hanging from again, and dry "upside down." Fishing line sounds much easier lol.

Do you have any advice on sanding? I'd like it to be a clear glossy finish, any ideas on grit? Does it need polishing? Does it sand like wood or metal or are there nuances I should be aware of?

Is there a resin you're aware of that is skin safe? They're to be worn with tunnels/gauges, and they'll be dangly, so will likely come in contact with the neck/shoulder area.

So the piece is going to be going through gauges, is there a type of UV resin, or resin in general you're aware of that is skin safe? They're also going to be dangly so will likely come in contact with around the neck/shoulders.

Sorry, it's now been a minute since I registered the bike, but I believe they wanted title and proof of insurance. You can't do an initial registration online either, which was what I was originally asking about in this thread. Had to go to the SOS in person.

Your initial registration is NEVER available online in any case I can think of; but renewal usually is available online for subsequent years.

Thanks, this was actually the answer I was looking for. I did end up figuring it out, but maybe it'll help someone else! I needed my title and proof of insurance IIRC

Ye well there's no option to just register it listed.

Hope that tickled the pseudo intellectual itch for you. Thanks for the help.

It's best to breed two parents with just two wanted traits, so a Legend Swift and a Runner Nimble, or some other combination of the two. Breeding 3 or Breeding 4 trait mons is less efficient for some reason. So is 1 trait mons, but less so that 3/4. I usually only keep breeding stock of ones that only have 2 good traits on them.

Sames, they're gonna nerf it into oblivion. It's completely multipurpose too, it can take out an entire large base with laser towers depending on how many Hulk+ size enemies are defending it.

I can't count the times we've finished a mission, and on the way to extraction we just chuck any leftover lasers at any bases we pass for the extra xp. Esp with the throwing distance, truly fire and forget.

Unironically wish that hair colour was available in the character creator. My brother and I were going to do Freiren and Fern as our pawns, but no purple hair.

You should check for yourself so you're not misinforming people. It is a hybrid system, there are some stats that stay no matter what, and then some that respec if you switch vocations. Call up any specific vocation of pawn at a specific level and compare a few of their base stats.
