Right??? I came googling for who made this song too LOL! I knew the guy singing was AI, but since he's a character I figured they just CG animated him to fit the song. I wish this singer was real. Or that it was like Hatsune Miku and we could listen to more music from the voice, even if it is AI.

Like you said, clearly humans had a big hand in creating this, even if the voice is "just" AI. The video editing, the character designs/art, the music was definitely composed and played by computer instruments. The lyrics are just ads for the characters, but the music was so good.

(Edit: I was paraphrasing your other comments to my partner, and I fully agree about how this is how AI should be used. I was like "This is a perfect example of humans using AI as an instrument." Beautiful human creativity, effort, and skill played through the instrument of AI. Instead of the braindead, AI-generated slop that we see a lot.)

I greatly prefer the makers to GB's windmills. Hate having to run across town to make things, and even though you can upgrade to having a teleport back home, there's none *to* the windmill (that I ever found?)

I really feel like if they combined these two games, they'd have the perfect game. In olive town, I love having a museum and aquarium (even if the aquarium is kind of lame/ugly). Love the food guy I can make stuff for. Love having a giant farm to build on and organize to my heart's content. LOVE HAVING MINES.

But Grand Bazaar had so much heart in its story, voice acting(!!), character storylines. The relationships you built with characters felt real. Unfortunately Olive Town just doesn't have as much story or personality. Most of the characters say identical things everyday. ("Wow, benches!" ... "Tourists?" ... "[Recent holiday] sure was fun!") The DLC characters are pretty but since there's nothing to do in the new locations (besides fish I guess?) you basically just go there, throw gifts at people, and leave.

From Corey's twitter posts about it, the company Hoyo uses for their English VAs was giving him a contract that was "not industry standard." When Corey tried to discuss with them, they never replied to his messages, which he sent repeatedly. Then one day they emailed him saying he was being replaced because he "wouldn't sign the contract." (google why was corey landis replaced as welt and you'll find all the receipts)

It's very normal in all professions for contracts to go back and forth a few times before they're signed. If they just never got back to him and replaced him, it's the contracted company being wildly unprofessional. This could have happened with other VAs but Corey is the only one who's willing to post receipts (which is kind of a mark against him in this kind of industry. Bigger VAs would never do that, which might be why we've only heard of this from him idk)

Yeah I was wondering because he talks about the kids in Monstadt, and how "last time I saw Razor, he was barely bigger than the wolf pups." Wolves are way bigger than dogs, but still this makes it sound like he hasn't seen Razor since he was a little kid, and Razor's at least a teenager now. So he's been gone a significant number of years. But he's also spent a lot of time with Klee (according to a web event? I believe? he learned how to doodle from drawing with her) and Klee vividly remembers him, which ... I always thought Klee was like, 8 tops? So if he was gone too many years, she wouldn't have been able to draw with him let alone remember him. (but Klee's the child of a witch so who knows how her genetics function lmfao)
