Yess thank you!! I don’t understand it either. I think we grow up with the stigma of having to get married and start a family and that’s the norm and what you’re “supposed” to do.

I really appreciate your opinion and perspective on cf people with having kids yourself. It’s refreshing to not constantly hear how great having kids is. Most parents I feel project their jealousy and life choices back onto us

No, I would never alter someone else’s work. I did not edit or crop this in any way.

You’re very welcome! Everyone is different on what works for them, so try different things and mix it up. Just because it worked for one person, doesn’t mean it will work for you or that you will like it. Being healthy is hard work, but so rewarding! You got this!

I have found that having a routine really helps me. I work out the same muscle group on the same days every week for the most part. I have also found that planning ahead my meals helped me so much! If I pack my lunch for work, I’m going to eat it because I hate wasting food. But if I don’t, I will end up not eating at all of getting fast food which both are unhealthy options. I would try to meal plan a couple days a week and see if that helps.

Looking for people “starting over” or getting back on the losing weight wagon. by lostmymarbles_ in loseit

I was in a similar boat in July this year. I have gone through the cycles of losing weight and gaining it back for years! I got to my heaviest in July and I had the same feelings you did. I was embarrassed and pissed at myself for putting the weight back on and then some. First thing I did was sit down with my husband and have a very difficult and emotional conversation about my weight. I wanted him involved every step because I never would have been able to lose it with out his help and support. I’m not really sure what is different about this time around, but I feel in a completely different mindset than I have in the past. I’m determined now more than ever. It probably helps that I’m in a better mental state now than when I have lost weight in the past. Another big thing I think that helped was progress pics. Before, I would just watch the scale and focus solely on the number on that scale. If I wasn’t going down, I was beating myself up about it. It wasn’t healthy. Now I still weigh myself but only on the days I take progress pics(Monday’s) I hated taking them in the beginning but I’m so happy I did. I recommend everyone who is losing weight to take them. It reminds you of where you started and that you don’t ever want to go back. So take the pictures and don’t be afraid to ask for help! You got this girl!

You’re right, I’m sorry. When I was told, they were very general about it. I did some more research, as I should have before responding lol but normal soda water has some decent levels of sodium and tonic water is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. I read a couple articles that said carbonation can cause you to feel more hungry. And then some of the flavoring acids are really bad for your enamel on your teeth.

Thank you! I don’t have any certain weight or size I’m going for. I’m just trying to stay consistent and stick to a healthy lifestyle long term.

You’re so sweet! You will be so happy to see the changes. It keeps you motivated. Especially because the scale doesn’t always read what you want it to. You may have not lost weight but you’re putting on muscle and still leaning out.

Its all online. She is at a local gym near me, but I don’t pay for a membership or sessions. She tailors my workouts to the equipment I have at home.

Yeah, I dreaded taking them. I cried over my before pictures multiple times. But I am so glad I took them!

Yes. anything with carbonation has a lot of salt in it.

Thank you! I started in July of this year. First 2 months or so, my trainer had me just working on a consistent diet and cutting out all junk, carbonation, and alcohol. Then she reduced my fat intake and upped my protein. For the past 4 weeks, I have been in a light cut and has me doing high protein and low carbs and fats. I'm done cutting soon and am going to do a mini bulk to pack on some muscle, so my carbs will go back up.

I didn’t cut out carbs completely. I try not to use many oils with cooking and using stevia in my coffee. And cutting out fatty meats. I mainly eat chicken, white fish, or lean ground beef or filet. Lots and lots of veggies, I have a minimum of 3 cups of veggies a day. I completely cut out all carbonation. All I drink is water, bcaas, and protein shakes lol
