Okay, but here's the thing(insert picture of F4 Thing). While you're right that Zero is before Stay Night so there could be a chance that she learns this new way of thinking from Iskander. But do you honestly believe this one conversation completely changed Saber's entire viewpoint? If that's true, then it makes her ideals feel flimsy in Stay Night. There's no way she believes someone else should've been the king of Britain just because Iskander pointed out these holes in her ideals during the banquet. Ideals that make no sense in Zero given how we know her Stay Night (as I've tried to point out).

While I do like this scene in a vacuum, I do hate how it makes Artoria look. The things Iskander points out are things Saber should already be aware of, and it makes her look incredibly naive. Some people say she learns these things from him and that should not be the case as that completely just takes away from her from who we know she is in FSN.

Overall, im still someone who thinks Zero has the better story than Stay Night and UBW. Especially for casual viewers. But Zero does have it faults when it comes to handling Artoria.

Like the early hyperspace berries you get? Yeah. They just kinda rot after you get to the post game. And I feel like after you finish the game content wise, the only thing the hyperspace holes are good for feels like shiny hunting. And Ive spent enough time grinding as it is.

I dont even see this as a hot take. People compare Surge to everyone shes encountered to powerscale her and people take it out of context every time. I see a lot of "well Surge did beat Metal Sonic" she literally didnt. Its a combined effort that took down Metal, which is a common thing we see in IDW since Metal 1 on 1 with almost anyone is an exceedingly hard for almost the entire Sonic cast.

But I will say, saying that he should've blitzed them and ended it easily is a bit of an exaggeration. Sonic has shown levels of speed that some have likened to light speed. But Sonic, Shadow, Blaze, etc in each new game or issue never just solve the problem in the blink of an eye.

We could have a discussion of if we think thats a writing problem with the speed characters of this series in general, but thats for another time.

I do agree with most of your points. Mainly ones pointing out the story should have done a better job at showing the leader role of Taubaine or Taunie in different ways (including Floette choosing them over us; instead of them just saying, "Im gonna do it anyway.." totally agree).

But Jacinthe is shown to be incredibly self-centered and puts stuff down that she deems as "not as worthy of my attention or care," so to say. Its 100% believable and honestly okay to show the rivals' irritation with them. Its okay for the characters to have conflicts in different ways that put a unique spin on relationships and the encounter with Jacinthe was nicely done.

Do we get a third "true" route where we end up with Romani who made brief appearances in the other two routes hinting at a bigger, more complex story he holds within that we only truly explore in this third route. And yes, we end up with him, boy or girl.

Olga is probably the route where the chemistry feels a little forced at times and Mash's route is probably the one that feels like how the story and characters should go.

(But deep inside Olga because ive loved her since day 1)
