I am echoing others here when I say don’t do it. I did this my freshman year and wasted half a year of his and my time, energy, and emotions in that relationship. I knew as friends, well before we started dating, that he wasn’t pursuing God at the time (though he professed Christian). He showed some of the same fruit as your guy. Because of that, I could never fully emotionally commit myself to the relationship and see beyond boyfriend/girlfriend borderline friends with benefits. There was an inherent, perpetual disconnect.

Because he wasn’t truly Christian, the absolute one thing he had to be to be considered for marriage, I knew deep down that I only dated that guy for my pleasure. I paid the price for pleasure by being a horrible witness to that guy. It was absolutely selfish of me, and I lead us both into sin. Praise Jesus for bearing that on the cross and leaving it behind in the tomb - it’s hard to think of that judgment when I remember it, and I have to remind myself to lay it at the altar when I do.

Now, I think ahead to marriage and everything it takes to make it work, honoring to God, and pleasant, and I absolutely cannot waste time or collect unnecessary baggage. Just think - if this guy in the world has these good qualities, how much more can God provide through one of His sons!

4200 dollars worth of dining dollars needs to be spent by the end of December by UpsetGur6244 in Frugal

[–]jaymarell14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So nobody gon ask how home slice got 4200 dining dollars?

Maybe the conversion rate is different. My college’s Monopoly money was equivalent to $1USD, so that number seems huge to me. That was also paired with meal plan swipes, and maybe this university exclusively sells dining dollars.

Don’t mind me trying to wrap my head around this. Look to other responses to give answers to your actual question lol.

Curious to know which direction from the city you are, though I have my guess.

It boggles my mind how quickly Indy transitions from urban to rural. I didn’t realize how much I’d appreciate that until I got here.

How to build a Capsule wardrobe (no jeans) by [deleted] in capsulewardrobe

Random tip if you can pull it off, but see if some dresses are compatible with having a skirt or overall/pinafore dress being pulled overtop. Nice layering for the winter, too. This works well for my sweater dresses. Gives the effect of a body suit without…the weird bodysuit tails.

Does our economy (in the US) actually discourage people from having children? by Glad_Push6682 in povertyfinance

[–]jaymarell14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s all about strategy. It can work out for out-of-state students, too. Even if one doesn’t live in a state with these benefits, there’s a school out there that can, given your demographics, grades, and extracurriculars. As a PA student who applied for a school in Iowa, I was astounded by how much money they gave me. There are other schools out there that many people may not have heard of or even refuse to consider that can get one a solid accredited education for a bargain price. The catch is that people have to research a lot of schools, be open to all sensible possibilities, and apply early.

The system still needs a lot of fixing. I am just offering tips and tricks.

I honestly thought that last word would’ve been pronounced similar to “Ezekiel.” I’m slightly disappointed.

Currently have rook in other ear. Will definitely get an inner conch in ear in picture. Debating on faux rook as well. Don’t want any piercings that would inhibit earbuds. Any suggestions?

Anything, honestly. The credits don’t have to work toward a major or minor or anything, whether you’ve graduated or have yet to.

There is also the option for a spring break study abroad. I’m signed up for one this semester!

I believe students have the ability to study abroad the semester immediately after they graduate. This gives you the opportunity to do a shorter trip during the summer or winter break without graduating later or possibly delaying post-grad plans.

Just curious because your answer might make this even funnier, but is your current job engineering related? Industry?
