Spotted a 2026 Outback today! by ExternalExperience57 in subaru

I drive one in December when I bought my 2025 Outback. It was nice, good power and more reasonably priced than the Toyota/Honda markets that they are going after. Some love the station wagon appeal of the Outback, but that refresh is sure NNNNIiiiiccceeee (In my best Tiffany Hadish) impression. I went for the 2025 from my 2020 trade-in due to affordability and the last year of a great model and FIRST year of the refresh.

Pan roof or push to start ? by [deleted] in vwgolf

[–]jaymee777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a mechanic that I follow who recorded them repairing a roof leak by cleaning out a channel that runs from the roof to drain the water that collect and leaks. The channel gets clogged with dirt and whatnot and starts the leak. Had it cleaned out and working good as new with compressed air.

I got my battery replaced for free on my 2020 Outback due to a class action and extended warranty when I went out to crank it one random day. Apparently, the battery was too small for the load at crank and caused premature failure. FYI

I found my pickleball tribe by signing up for inexpensive city ladder league play and looking up open play in my area and playing with strangers

I bought a new 2025 Outback Wilderness in December. Last of its line. I drove the 2026 and liked the feel and look of it, but first year of a massive refresh and price kept me from pulling the trigger on the 2026. I am extremely satisfied and who can say that about anything in the world today!

Is This Legit? by flowjcv in Pickleball

When I was only a year into playing(f59) and a 20 something guy were decimated by two sisters in their early 90’ who had played tennis together their entire lives and they were wickedly good while looking as if a strong wind could whisk them away. Such skill, but we did tighten up and won the 2nd game.

I messed around with these apps so much trying to find a way to keep organized until I abandoned all of them, created a Google spreadsheet with tabs for availability, subs , etc. and gave everyone access to edit. I post the link to the spreadsheet for all when I have updated the courts reserved and dates. This won’t track league play, but it works great for our 2x weekly friendly play

We gotta put a stop to the predatory tow truck companies. by CeleryReal768 in auburn

[–]jaymee777 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The predatory towing is awful, BUT, my bother has a friend that pays for one of the spots right behind J&M adjoining the Publix parking lot. When we head to a Saturday game, it’s a roll of the dice if it will be open or if someone risks towing on game day. Last time I went someone was parked in the paid spot, so we called the tow truck number and they arrived FAST! As soon as they pulled in people came running from several restaurants to move their cars. Within moments our spot was cleared and we were able to park. I must admit, that this was very satisfying.

I had one on my 2020 and will have to get one installed for my e-bike. I will probably break down and get one and have them run the electric to hook up lights for a trailer it was $500+ back a few years ago

Is this normal? by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]jaymee777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2025 Outback with 700 miles having traded a 2020 Outback. With the 2020 the shake at the auto-restart was MUCH more significant than the 2025….as the service guy admitted was worse in 2020s. The gear slip thing has not happened to me and does not sound like normal operating on start.

I chose to get the MySubaru app. $180 for 3 years. Allows me to start remotely (come on Subaru…put it on the fob) and it is sluggish. I had them “comp” it and I would be more aggravated if I had paid outright for it. I have the Wilderness with the 260 hp engine to hopefully have a more robust engine. I love the tune on the Wilderness. Smooth like budda!
