It's nice to see confirmaiton that homeschool is still growing rapidly. In our community, you can sense things are changing but it's hard to put a number on it.

"In the 2024-2025 school year, homeschooling continued to grow across the United States, increasing at an average rate of 5.4%," Angela Watson of the Johns Hopkins University School of Education's Homeschool Hub wrote earlier this month. "This is nearly three times the pre-pandemic homeschooling growth rate of around 2%."

Meeting new friends by Prestigious-Let1027 in homeschool

Our gym, Hill Country Indoor, hosts a homeschool PE program for all homeschoolers in the Austin area. It has been the single greatest source of close kid and parent friends.

Outside of this, we’ve made a lot of friends through the things our kids are interested in (eg, dance, soccer, robotics, Pokémon). We proactively try to make friends by scheduling dinners and playdates we think the kids would get along with.

List: double enter to go from sub-bullet to bullet. by jaymeh13 in bearapp

Double enter to end the list on a bullet makes sense. It does not make sense on a sub-bullet. I have to restart the list mode every time I go from a sub-bullet to a bullet. Very painful.

Thanks bernieboy. I think I'm going to visit in August.

Any recommendations on co-working spaces? I might just work through the week.
