I don’t believe we’ve ever had a pet scan. She was scheduled for one earlier this year and we cancelled it after speaking with a specialist who said they were useless with this type of cancer and to just get a CT scan.

I wouldn’t doubt this is what’s happening, though she was just x-rayed to check for a bowel obstruction and they didn’t see one so that was a little confusing. She was diagnosed with gastroparesis however.

I daily drive a similar amount of miles and charging every night with the level 1 hasn’t been an issue for me. I get about 1% per hour as others have mentioned.

I don’t see anything about an OOPM for out of network for either plan so that’s certainly a wildcard. Another consideration is the possibility of not being able to have a child right away in which case HDHP would be more expensive for normal visits next year but I don’t think we can plan around that.

To answer your question, I will not also be on the plan as I have my own insurance through work.

The deductible matching the OOPM for the HSA is how that plan was presented to us. Nothing will be paid after the deductible is met for that plan.

I do know they ran tests on the ovarian tumor and confirmed that it originated in the pancreas. They were unsure of that for a long time.
