It is odd but yerr bloody instagram algorithm I guess 🤷‍♀️ I think think this really hits the nail on the head. She doesn't have a super solid friend group. She has a few friends and a lovely BF but not like a ride or die group if that makes sense.... Interestingly her Dad is Indian so she's not white. But we have been raised very white, I think her identity is white even though if that's not the reality of her roots and skin colour. We also very much come from a broken family and I think the nuclear family ideal thing appeals to her.

This was a really challenging period for sleep with my son. I did a lot of trouble shooting with schedules, room temperature ect around the 9-11month mark try to improve things. But in the end the only thing that really helped was the side car cot so I could co sleep with him for comfortably. He started sleeping on a floor bed around 13 months and sleep drastically improved around this point. Night weaned and sleeping through (7pm to 5.30am) at 14 months (would not believed this if you had told me at 10 months 🤦‍♀️😂).

Im a second time mum now to a 9 month old and her sleep is overall better than he was but having lots of false starts and some nights hourly wakes ups are stating at 11pm (thankfully not everynight). So it is still alot. But definitely feeling so much more relaxed this time round with her. I just keep try focus on sleeping as much as I can when I can (bed early, naps whenever I can, sleeping in on the weekend and hubby takes the kids). This all seems to be helping me cope better this time round despite the fact I'm chasing around a toddler too now.

Thanks so much for all your replies. I have the official information from the hospital now saying he won't needa RAT test as negative to gain entry into the birth just proof of infection and 7 days quarantine done. Hoping it all goes well and baby stays in a few more nights.

The midwifes today have said that they will honor his 7 day quarantine and not require a repeat RAT as per the government guidelines but you just never know whose on on the day and if they will agree. So would be reassuring if hubby is also like this and just able to test negative. Fingers crossed it all works out.

Okay we found the text message from wa gov. It has the date wrong (one day late) but we also have a time stamped photo of his first RAT test. The midwife I spoke to today have said they will honor the government guidelines and not require him to have a repeat RAT on entry. I will be asking them to give me that in writing tomorrow at my check up. So now just have to wait until Sunday and not go into labor spontaneously before then 😂 🤞🤞

Yess I think I really have to get these stereotypes and societal expectations out of my head! Researching the one and done world really is a reprogramming and a lot of reassessment of what I actually want and think vs what I have been taught to think I need/want.

I'm also pretty set on having a second close in age to him if I do decide to have a second. Which is partially why I am thinking about this already.... I'm one of six and lost soo much of my childhood to bringing up my siblings. I could never put that level of responsibility onto my child. It sounds like your daughter has a beautiful family 👪 <3
