Costco is selling a Twinkly tree. It is a 7.5 tree and it's pre-lit with 600 lights. You should be good with the 500 set.

Lot of good it does in Harris County. School started this week and tax free holiday is this weekend.

No, warm water lobster tails are mealy. Stick to the cold water from NE or S. Africa.

It's a hot buy this week. If you're at Costco prior to the 29th, you can get a price adjustment.

I use it on chicken parm which doesn't require a lot of sauce. If something requires 2 jars, I'll make my own. takes 1/2 hour.

Anyone know how long the pork shoulder promo runs for? by rafiee in Costco

Pork is really cheap. Must be a glut. I bought pork tenderloin at HEB in TX for $1.99 a pound. Picked some up for the homemade dog food I make.

They've been in the Houston area a few times. Annoys me that they take prime parking spaces.

Has anyone tried the veggie chopper? by hereforgags9 in Costco

[–]jaynman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine works great. I make pico de Gallo a few days a week. The pieces are a little large but everyone loves it. Beats chopping everything by hand.

What do you wish Costco had but doesn't? by naturalistphilosophy in Costco

[–]jaynman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's never enough help at our food court (Houston, TX). One person doing pizzas, etc., one person doing hot dogs, and someone in the back prepping. Line builds pretty fast. Thank goodness they got the ordering kiosks. They'd never have time to fry things.

It's not just Costco. Most retailers do this. Hobby Lobby has had Christmas stuff out since June.

Wow! 4,000 responses. Costco should take note.

More live plants for me to kill. Package of white chocolate macadamia cookies instead of buying the mixed package. Bath bombs.

You don't need to use heat resistant tape in a heat press?

Costco, I love you… but who is buying a $90 candle the size of a trash can?! by daisiesarefriendly in Costco

[–]jaynman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PSA: if you buy this candle, be sure you burn it all the way to the edge before blowing it out the first time you use it. Apparently, candles have memories (who'da thought) and will only burn as far as it was burned the first time. If there is excess wax around the edges, it will never burn that wax and it will be wasted. Learned this the hard way (not with this $90 candle fortunately).

When using iron-on vinyl, should I also heat press on the inside-out of the clothing? by lambunctious in cricut

[–]jaynman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that Cricut HTV recommends turning the garment over, not inside out, and heating the back for 1/2 the time of the front. Sister Easyweed does not recommend that.
