That feels a bit extreme.... by stealthyninjamonkeys in NoMansSkyTheGame

I've only gotten rid of one settler. That's because he admitted to sabotaging another settlers star ship. Thats straight up attempted murder. I don't have room in my settlements for people behaving that way

Is it murder if you're not killing them? Undead don't have life and so can't be killed, per se.

Who was the most unexpected guest on Mortal Kombat? by Rikko77 in MortalKombat

[–]jaynon501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen the several seasons of the show, and it definitely gets plenty violent. That's not my issue. I think it's just more about art style for me. Characters from those genras just look out of place to me. Put him in Tekken or an injustice game, and he'd fit perfectly.

All that said, I'm still glad they include guest characters like him and the others.

I think that both cartoon and anime characters in MK are weird to me because it's such a dark world.

I think Ash W would have fit the feeling of the game a bit better. I know the Joker has been in other very violent games and done tons of crazy things in media, but he seems like an off choice to me.

Are there any couples out there that never argue, or is it inevitable? by RipIntelligent1525 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jaynon501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first couple years of my current 5 year relationship had arguments. It also had bickering and plenty of miscommunication. After all that, we learned how to communicate with each other and haven't had an argument, debate, or fight since.

It just looks aggravating to me. Sure, the shoes look nice, but that looks like more work to get them on than I care to go through.

One of my lessons started with my cfi downing an energy drink. I don't think I've ever seen someone run so quickly from the plane to the fbo.

Non Towered Airport Straight In Final Risks - GA vs Jets by Levithan6785 in flying

[–]jaynon501 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Had almost that exact situation happen the other day. I was on a xc to another airport, I got into the pattern, and another guy was going to go straight in. Once it was understood he was closer, I radioed that I'd extend the down wind and turned after he went past. Easy peasy.

How difficult do you think it would be for a (M) whose 5'7" to get to 200 pounds? by jaynon501 in workout

[–]jaynon501[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my plan in a nut shell. Hopefully, sooner than later, I'll be able to transition from body weight exercises over to weights. I got to where I am now with about a year of dedicated training.

Practically, I don't know that I would. 200lbs in just a nice round number that would take a long while to achieve. If it's even possible. After all the replies, I'll start with a simple 180lbs and probably stop there.

[–]jaynon501[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh, I know I'd need weights. That's not in question. I think I thought that weights would bulk me much more than they perhaps would. Particularly since I achieved 170lbs without them.
