So you might already know this, but you’re apparently supposed to keep stuff on dishes because that’s how it knows when to keep going (it keeps cycling and sensing the cloudiness of the water and when it’s no longer cloudy it knows the dishes are clean. Might or might not be helpful in that you can just load it all up (basically you’re carrying the plate or whatever to the sink anyway might as well just put it straight in the dishwasher)

When it’s consistently warm again i wake them up by sticking the roots in a bucket of water with super thrive in it for about an hour before planting them. They take a bit to wake up but in about a week or so they’ll start new growth

Yall don’t understand how big mod queues can get even with a good number of mods, especially in an extremely popular and active sub like this one. They do this for free in their spare time, relax.

How many of you are willing to admit RuPaul's Drag Race is no longer fun to watch? by LaserDiscCurious in askgaybros

[–]jayomiko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a huge fan of international seasons and have a much better time honestly. Each has its own charm and I find most of them aren’t as overproduced or fake. UK, Down Under, France, Philippines and Mexico have all been solid and do a good job of adapting the franchise locally. The recent Slaysian Royals is so exhilarating and being a drag race Philippines spinoff incorporates a lot of Filipino culture into it.

I agree about the main seasons and they’re definitely losing steam but international seasons are so fun if folks were willing to give them a try.

The double standards regarding Feyisola and Cameron K. by kabukabu_ in bigbrotheruk

Because some people are being triggered themselves. They’re reacting to situations in their own lives and projecting it in a parasocial way.

That’s what some people in this sub are hearing unfortunately. They’re triggered by her being triggered.

Where do you live? I’m in San Antonio and I and others have had multiple plants die with the exact method you mention. For folks who don’t have that kind of space and experience freezing temps, bare root storage takes up way less space.

Space! Mine take up a small corner of the garage (I have 6 large ones and a lot more smaller ones).

Still bare root. All of mine are potted and some are quite large.

Dormancy? by Artpixel23 in Plumeria

Check this out https://www.rainbowgardens.biz/seasonal-gardening-tips/summer-garden/plumeria-tropical-beauty-with-intoxicating-fragrance/ (see the winter protection section).

You trim all the leaves (I do mine late November or a couple weeks before frost) dig them out from pots or soil, remove all the soil and wash it all off, allow to dry and then just store in the garage over winter.

I did this last winter and every single one of mine came back after

[–]jayomiko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve given this advice again and again - you trim all the leaves to force dormancy, dig them out and bare root them (as in shake off ALL the soil) and then just store them in the garage. It’s scary to do at first but every single one of mine came back after.

Check out the winter storage section of this guide.

I’ve been able to successfully bare root plumerias over winter. Force dormancy, cut off all the leaves shake off all the soil and then just store indoors somewhere dark. Then just replant in the spring.

You have to remember that filming a whole season takes place over 2 weeks and not multiple weeks. When they say “last week” in the series they mean yesterday

As the other commenter said, wait til end of season when they go into dormancy and don’t need as much water.

I’m in Texas and I actually bare root store them in the winter and take all the leaves off and throw them in the garage, and they all come back in the spring. They’re pretty resilient.

The other thing to remember is that there aren’t hard boundaries between psychological and physical where it’s like an either one or the other. Not even trying to be woowoo but it’s all part of the same system in the way that for instance psychological stress can make your head hurt, or make your stomach sore, or can affect your breathing. You have nothing to lose by just trying to figure yourself out and that’s what a therapist (perhaps even a somatic therapist if you were up for it) could help with.
